#Voron won't boot with XES and YES cables plugged into the leviathan.

I have my end stop cables plugged directly into the nighthawk board on my tool head and plug them into the leviathan in the locations the documentation indicates.

When I turn it on, klipper can't find the leviathan. If I unplug the end stop cables from the leviathan and turn it on, it boots just fine, recognizing the leviathan.

I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Ok, why are you plugging it in like that?
Both are the same port. One end in the endstop port (either the nitehawk OR the levathian), one end to the endstop itself.

One end plugs into the nighthawk and the other two ends plug into the leviathan. From what I understand

#

I'm obviously misunderstanding

It says to plug the XY Endstop into the nighthawk, then plug XES and YES into leviathan. That's why I'm confused

That picture is just the generic nitehawk one, IF you want to use those. By default they aren't used.

#

Where does it say to plug into the nitehawk?

#

I'm not seeing it.

Good question. I just assumed to plug it into the nighthawk based on the diagram I just posted

#

And according to this, the X Stop and Y Stop cables come from the back of the printer where the cables are routed down

#

So I just assumed that the End stop cable is supposed to be plugged into the nighthawk then routed down to these corresponding ports

#

Where do you have the endstop cables plugged into the leviathan?

Which port is the endstop port on the Leviathan?

Like the document says, and the picture shows above.

The plugs in the picture are only 3-pin ports. The plug I have has 4 pins

#

It has 4 pins on one side and two 3-pin plugs on the other side

#

There's only one 4-pin port left on the board and that's for another driver

The endstop pcb is a 100% different PCB that's in the PCB bag in the electronics box.

#

At least I belive that's the bag it's in.

#

I think I know what PCB you're talking about. Let me see if I can find it.

#

It's just confusing because there are a bunch of different sources of documentation. Some of them are outdated. So I have to sort through them all

Yes, that one.

For some reason I assumed it would be sensorless homing and that I didn't need the switches. Which is why I plugged it into the nighthawk

#

Pretty sure this is my problem

#

Thanks for the quick response!

I mean, you can ignore all of that and set up sensorless if you want.
Just don't plug in the cable nor put the endstop pod on.
