Shake&Tune's vibrations profile has a lot of information, and I'm not really sure what I am looking at. So some help interpreting the graphs and improving them would be great. I do understand there are a lot of bad speed peaks, but I'm not sure how to fix that. I am happy to provide additional information. Thanks!

Can you change your tmc_autotune pwm to 20e3 or 22e3 please and rerun the test

#

The vibrations profile test

Ok here is the graph with pwm at 20e3. Sry about the double post.

can you reduce your microsteps to 32

coral night
#

And run the test again?

coral night
#

Here's another one with 32microsteps it doesn't look to different

Motors at 0.7A and back to 128 micro steps

leave it here

#

still does not look great, but your vibrations are lower

#

have you made interpolate to true

coral night
#

Yes interpolate is true since I'm using autotune

#

Is this a mechanical issue or just the motors resonance. I'm curious for the future if I getting long shaft steppers or changing my mechanics would help this.

#

looks like motor issue

#

you can try commenting out the pwm and see if it has changed based upon the change in run_current

coral night

Commented it out and it looks worse. So I'll just stick with what I had. Maybe I'll upgrade to Monolith with better steppers sooner than I was planning. Thanks for the help!

play around with the settings we have been adjusting. Maybe reduce run_current some more - say 0.65. You want to print in the green zone for the global speed energy profile

coral night
#

Ok if I get any major changes I'll post them here.

thank, happy prinrinting

I was messing around with settings and I tried increasing the current to 0.9A and then 1A and I think it improved the angular speed energy profile. So I was wondering what you thought about that. Also if I'm printing over 200mm/s should I be increasing the range of the graph to include higher speeds?
