This is a rebuilt V0.2. Initially I had decent results, but after doing a deracking, I decided to go through the input shaper process again. Doing the belt comparison shows a big difference between A and B even though tension was set to the same frequency for both.

  • V0.2 Stock motion system, with lightweight X-axis extrusion
  • adxl345 on EBB toolhead
  • Tension was tuned with Spectroid app.
#

the bulge every 8mm is due to my z lead screw misaligment, which i have since improved

#

seeing this, I increased tension on belt A by a touch

#

but it only made it worse. so i did 2 more tests without changing anything

What is your goal?

There is no resonance on those cubes above.

#

It appears that what you are seeing is print tuning related

Print a cube at 45 degrees.
If there is a difference we should see it

sounds good

Bit of resonance there

#

This is looking super nice vs what you got when you bought it! Make sure belts are equal length

I am not sure there is any resonance of that cube. I am not sure what that pattern is, can you take pictures of each side please.
Was the entire cube printed at 45 degrees

thanks for your help so far! I've decided to put in Tulip mod sooner rather than later so I've put off further resonance tuning until after I've got that done

#

will be back in a week or two

#

should I tag this as resolved?

do you have the link for tulip mod?

#

I would put resolved as the tag if you are changing the gantry
