I am having some layer shift problems. Mostly random and I can't figure out why. Sometimes random, sometimes they happen when the layer changes a lot(like a raspberry pi case when hdmi holes start/end)
I removed z belts and made them the same lenght(they were not).
I hear some noise at some frequencies but I can't figure out from where. Made sure xy idler screws are tighten/loose as they should

Any ideas?

When I touch the white part the sound stops
Can you take a picture of the toolhead fully assembled with the adxl in place please
I am doing the tests with the toolhead like this, without the front red part. The screws where not long enough
A layer shift and a successful print from yesterday
that is going to throw all your test off
stealth burner needs the front cover on to fully secure it
I would consider all test with it off to be invalid
I will finish my test cube and try to attach the front with the accelerometer. I was initially mounting sideways in the back but xyz ends up not oriented, is that a problem?
My accelerations/speed are:
klipper
max_velocity: 340
max_accel: 5000
The orientation of the adxl doesn’t have a big impact on resonance as klipper uses the combination of all of them
Are you using tap?
Are you homing and qgl’ if for running input shaper?
Yes
Which tap?
The one from formbot kit
I’ve been off for a few times. Exames soon. I will continue then and acrews to fix accellerometer better are on the way
I would check the tap screws to make sure they are making contact with the tap magnets and adjust accordingly
Done
Idk what else can be. I was thinking maybe overheating of the stepper motors but its a stock build. Lots of people with same setup and no problems
I’m thinking on redoing all my speed/acceleration settings to more default values and evaluate if the issue persists. Its so random it makes it difficult to debug
Did you make any adjustments?
Yes. They were a little off. Also my probe accuracy decreased
I took the z belts to make them the same length and in the process the probe accuracy decreased. Now its a little better but before the magnets were fine and I had layer shifts
I'm now investigating the possibility of the layer shift cause be warping. I was trying to print this pieces and the large one warped a lot. The head was making a weird noise while passing over the warped side. Its possible that all/part of the layers shifts happen when the head nocks a warped part and shifts
Tho I don't understand why is this warping. ABS bed 110 head 260 chamber 58 and fully enclosed
Not sure, but this appears to now be a more #slicers_and_print_help than resonance issue
I agree with Reth. I will tag this as solved and close the post
