#qgl way over adjusting

Therefore, I'm a little suspicious when I see
points:
320,310
-320,310
-310,-300
320,-300
i was under the impression 0, 0 should be in the middle of the bed with tap
No
No, bed coordinates never change, no matter which probe u have
om sounds good once i get that changed it should correct the issue right, or is there a different issue
Lets change one thing at a time and dont assume things.
Open the voron config from github and check for the right QGL points
If thats adjusted see what QGL does
Could be that u have to manually level the gantry
where would the center of the bed be now for taps homing pos?
Are u following https://github.com/VoronDesign/Voron-Tap?tab=readme-ov-file#post-install-setup including the „tap klipper instructions“ right where i pointed to with the link?
ys
If not, please follow that
Ok so enter the middle points of your bed
ok so with the default probing points its only probing the top right quadrant of the bed
That sounds like u changed more things then just qgl like @empty perch suspected
i dont think i changed anything else QGL related unless it was accidentally heres my config and the ldo default config
simple test
where IS 0,0 right now?
350 mm
and are your X/Y motors 200step/rotation or 400 step/rotation (aka 0.9 degree)
200 steppers
honestly? I don't believe you
if they're 400s, it just explains why all your moves are currently half length a little too nicely...
they are set for 200
oh I know they're set for 200
how do ik if they are 400 steppers
read the label generally
sometimes might have to extend out to reading a datasheet or something
is this an LDO kit?
yes the rev c version
oh
(as seen in the sample ldo config you posted too)
hmm
when i put it together i thought i copy pasted the config my fault
the voron stock file is set to 200, since it's mostly just ldo that does the other
I'm guessing you took that particular line from the voron one, or from some other source
ahhhh that would explain it
um so now its qg leveling really weird in a lmost diagnol pattern
i can send a video if that would help
no problem
i did the homing again and x is crashing into the endstop switch as it goes back im pretty sure thats got something to do with minimun values though?
no
it's far more fundamental
X and going back do not belong in the same sentence
X is a left/right movement
ya, so you've got two problems there
the first problem, is that it shouldn't be moving back at all. it should be a clean move to the RIGHT
I suspect that you have the wrong pulley on one of the X/Y motors. they're supposed to be the 20T, but I suspect you have at 16T on one of them (which belongs on a z motor)
the second problem, is that it should STOP when it hits the right hand endstop
did you test your endstops before you started trying to home?
yes the endstops should work fine before i changed it to 400 it was working perfectly
it would home fine without this issue
strange
but... time to test it again
if you press the endstop switch on the LEFT side of the pod, what endstop does mainsail show as triggered?
both of my endstop switches are to the right
your switches should be on a pod on the underside of the gantry joint
and one of them should be on the LEFT side of THE POD, such that it faces the toolhead (if it was on the right, it would be up against the panel)
and the other should be on the back of the pod
hmm. OH
I see
watching the video again, it did home X successfully, and then moved on to trying to home Y,
the y homing is just extra problematic because it's trying to drift farther to the right
so I take it back
just one problem
the drifting on the axis its not trying to home
and I still believe that is probably an incorrect pulley
this voron worked perfectly at one point i had to scrub everything because it got corrupted so i dont think its a pully
well, let's see your config as it stands now, I guess
oh fuck did I
oh i changed it on the extruder thinking it was y
ok its fixed
now to figure out the qgl
I just saw X Y and Z there, no qgl
QGL works now
also is there a way to move my tool head up a bit when it moves from pos to pos its dragging on the bed a little
that's the horizontal_move_z setting
set at 1 thinking about 3 or 5
where ARE you getting these settings from?
I don't know of any stock config that sets it that low
the QGL settings i found from the voron forums
because it was doing some other weird things before
