Hello, from today I am facing a significant issue while printing.
As you can see from screenshots it seems with an over extrusion issue.
I have checked the nozzle and have already cleaned it up with cold pull method and nothing changed.
Also, I tried to investigate if the extruder has any sign of issue or blocking during the print but I didn't notice something strange.
I have tried several filaments, all were PLA and I had the same issue exactly.

Printer details:
My current printer is a voron 2.4 with xol toolhead (ebb36 toolboard), rapido v2 HF,
Sherpa mini extruder.

Last but not least, it was printing well until a few hours ago.

This is the result after cleaning the nozzle. I have low the speed also.

# runic shard Yes, yesterday I printed ABS.

Hmm well my other 2 ideas are 1) have the PTFE zip tied to the canbus cable like that, it looks like a pretty steep sweep by the exhaust 2) the PTFE looks like its clear but maybe thats the lighting it should be milky or hazy looking

If I understood correctly, no, it's not problem of PTFE tube.
I have already tried to remove filament from it and print without the PTFE tube.

  1. I have printed for a hundred hours with this PTFE tube without any issue.

And the issue remaining after I changed the nozzle

#

Is there any chance the stepper motor of extruder is damaged?

From what I can understand, from the video or anything else I have already tried, is that the stepper motor has not the power anymore to push the filament.

if you just extrude in the air does it work fine?

light spindle

i mean if its attached, not while printing

runic shard
#

else i get inconsistent measuments

light spindle
#

ah okay

#

does it come straight out of the nozzle?

runic shard
#

Yes, it does. until yesterday morning I was printing without any issue

light spindle
#

so right now when you try to extrude mid air it comes out straight right?

#

but yea thats real annoying :p

#

intermitent power loss while not moving would be sligthly weird to be the reason but of course its possible

I understand that if the extruder encounters resistance, it starts to spin more slowly

they generaly tend to just go until they skip (you hear a click usualy)

okays

#

after you see if it skips could ya remove the nozzle and just extrude mid air to see if that works fine?

runic shard
#

I have tried that. And it seems to work fine.

#

here is rotating without a filament

#

when I push with my finger it seems that rotating slowy.
I don't apply much force

I noticed that tmc becomes really too hot for the testing I am doing.

#

@light spindle any idea for the above?⤴️

#

I have current on TMC to 0.650.
I tried to extrude without filament inside and after five minutes stepper motor and tmc of ebb36 are too hot
