Hi All,

Using a dragon hotend on 350mm build.

I'm working through the initial start up guide and am at the extruder calibration setup.
I am able to feed PLA and heat to the correct temps and see the filament come through the nozzle. Whether hand fed or using the extruder itself, I can extrude fine for 3-10 seconds before the extruder starts clicking or I can no longer hand feed.

I can retract the filament entirely and there is a stringy stretched bit on the end. I cannot extrude again unless I cut that bit off and try again.

I have reliably repeated this 10+ times now and the nozzle continues to extrude perfect for a few seconds. Nothing is clogged as I just cleaned the nozzle and hotend out. It was previously clogged however.

I feel like I'm missing something super simple here but can't quite figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

I think the Dragon HF is also somewhat known for heatcreep problems with PLA. Someone will correct me if its the HF or UHF that does it but i know one of them just hates PLA

It is coming on, yes. (Uppermost fan on stealthburner)

I have other filament, ABS and ASA, which I could use. It's the HF dragon if I recall, not the UHF.

Ooh, maybe you solved it. The lower fan is connected to part cooling and the upper fan is connected to the hotend cooling channel. Both fans operate fine but I can control the bottom fan with the part cooling slider in the interface...

Top is part cooling and should be controllable with the slider, bottom is heatbrake cooling and should come on when the hotend is active or above 50c
