#2.4 Randomized Z offset! Its not as cool as it sounds.

I am having an issue with constant changes in my z-offset. both positive and negative directions.
I will adjust the offset to near perfect, and it will be fine for that print maybe a 2nd (not usually) after getting it dialed in.
Example: This morning, I printed a Voron Cube, had to micro step to (-.320) printed fine once I got there. Started the next print after the cube finished, was also fine just a .001 change. Then the next print was at (0.065) as the nozzle was now printing on the bed so almost a 0.4 change.
The printer does a QGL and Bed Mesh every print. Print_End then clears the bedmesh after. I printed for about 100 hours before this random offset problem started occuring. Please Note it was a sudden change. Mid print it became very rough. So I went through checked the fasteners, and the tap rail had come loose. I corrected that. and the prints were normal after that once I find the Z offset.

Things I have tried: Checking for loose fasteners, Grub screws, belt tensioning.
Currently Using Orca Slicer.
V2.4 with Tap.

This may not be your issue, but I just had a similar problem with my afterburner and it all came down to the fact that my heatsink had play on the mount. It could move about a millimeter which was enough that I was constantly trying to dial in the offset which would only be perfect for one or two prints.

It is a known issue with tap

#

I also have it, along with a couple of other guys

I'm moving to klicky PCB because I can't seem to solve it either

Is it the CNC tap from chaotic? I had this issue with it and the back plate screws that hold the tap rail on were slightly stripped so it felt like I could tighten down the rail, but then this would happen and the rail was loose once again. I switched to beacon, way better.

tried both 4 magnet and 2 magnet versions

Is there any chance of tiny bits of filamebt ooze stuck to the nozzle while probing?
