STEPPER_BUZZ STEPPER=stepper_z1 is not moving all the others are. This would explain the twist.
Ok resolution was the enable pin was not uncommented. Not sure how that is, most everything was default... must be the source file was inconsistent.

Ok I can home Z, and the Z axis moves correctly and evenly. Pro tip! : If you have to invert a direction you have to take into consideration all motors and that it is conceivable that you will have a mix of pin polarity. I was expecting that all Z pin polarities would match. This is not necessarily true.
Note how the direction on one is inverted and the other is not... this is the working solution for my setup.
Next problem to solve is my other thread which is Z stop switch height.
That's normal and expected. The left and right sides are mirror images of each other, so naturally the motors need to run opposite directions to ultimately move the bed in sync
