#Kiauh Klipper Screen

Did you sudo reboot after?
What did it say during the install?
Yup i did.
It asked me about a standalone app and to use a network manager both i said no to. To my knowledge if you do the network manager you have to go a different route for connections for the printer? i could be wrong but when i tried it the first time my pi lost connection and i had to renistall klipper.
Can you try installing klipperscreen without network manager?
Isn't there a whole console scroll when it's actually running the install though?
I did, i said no to network manager.
Yeah there is sorry. What do you need to know specifically? ill look at it and let you know as im running the install again.
Just thinking there's likely something there that'll tell us what it's mad about. Don't have my eye on anything specific
Klipperscreen no longer installs NetworkManager by default, and it needs permissions to work
There is some chatter about it in the klipperscreen channel in the Klipper Discord
With kiuah it asks to use network and i chose no and theres also an option for python standaolne app which i also said no to during the install.
Is it working now that you said no to network manager?
Just press enter when it asks you to choose for everything except for the Network manager
No its not. its still shows incomplete in kiauh.
I have this error, after I enter kiauh it also says incomplete
Did you try what it says on the screen?
I think I'm going to ask a stupid question but... Does the screen have to be connected to install the klipper screen? I thought I could install it and then go to the printer to place the screen
Should be fine
I literally mean the line in red in your screenshot
"Try deleting..."
That's a literal instruction to you how to (likely) solve the problem
When I enter KIAUH, it shows as incomplete (which by the way, won't let me install or remove crowsnest)
That's not what the line in red says to do
It's telling you to (manually) delete a certain directory, and then retry the install
I already deleted that folder and it still shows incomplete, if I try to install it again the same thing happens
Okay, that's the information I asked you for 3 hours ago
I spent all afternoon trying to solve it with chatgpt but I didn't have any success either xd
It seems like the venv isn't getting created properly
Could maybe try creating it manually, and see if we at least get a useful error...
I think that would be python3 -m venv .KlipperScreen-env
summary of everything I've tried with chatgpt
What is df -h?
Do you have the screen plugged in at all? just did this myself the oter day and it gives a failed message at the end but it worked anyway.
