The board was flashed via an SD card per the Klipper instructions. Just chucked the firmware.bin on the card and it was done in seconds. Whatever DFU mode is, I never touched that, as there were instructions for also flashing in that mode.

Worst case, I just happen to have a spare Octopus Pro board with a different STM chip. But I would like to get this one to work properly.

Make sure you chose the correct settings in your config (in the extruder section) for octopus pro 1.0 vs octopus pro 1.1
