#Sanity check before I continue wiring it up.

test everything for continuity.
Don't connect everything at once.
Connect psu to mains first, and verify with multimeter if you get 24V.
Then connect other components, one by one, verifying continuity.
Connect Pi, power on, verify it's working.
Connect MCU, to Pi and psu, verify Pi sees it. Etc.
You can get those 14 pin and distribution board VERY wrong, check announcements.

looks fine
@weak ocean I was made aware of the TAP wiring being all wrong a while back. Mine should be correct. With that said, I think many of us go into these things with a blind trust. Klipper has been installed on both and they talk, but that was done with USB power outside of the machine.
Cool 👍
your tap is correct, yes ( i can just speak for the ebay)
Well that's pretty much it then.
I forgot to print some of the rear skirts, so before I flip this over once last time, there's that. Not too far from flicking the switch now.
I think you can click it without magic smoke if you haven’t changed anything
I've only added the HDMI screen which takes power from a USB port on the BTT Pi and gets a video signal from the micro-HDMI port. That's it.
yeah that cant / shouldn’t make any changes
let us know if there was smoke
or hopefully not
You still haven't turned it on???
You do that before managing wires lol
Well, if something blows the skirts can stay either way. I forgot the two side fans and also the neopixel 5v and signal wire from the tool head. So I'm just routing those after work today then it's go time. (I know how the fan holder is on "backwards", the person who made these grid mods made it that way, I'm skipping the bottom plate)
And it is alive! It did not explode. But my printer.cfg is set up incorrectly.
I nabbed their example config file for this board and then entered everything I could, but since it was made for homing with switches, its throwing an error for the sensorless homing. Position_endstop is not valid in section "stepper_z".
Got rid of that error. However, the hotend immedaitely begins to heat up when switching on the machine. The bed is not heating up when told to do so. Hrm... My config file is a mishmash of things I think work because nothing is really given to you.
Annnnd the silicone sock is toast, hotend heated up so much so fast it also softened the whole printed extruder assembly. Fun times.
@fossil goblet A helpful person on here helped me fix this. The machine now works as it should, does the QGL via TAP and everything., what would we do without you guys? Clsing this one.
It cost me a silicone sock. A price Im willing to pay to tame the black magic that is Klipper.
happy we could help, sorry I didnt I wasn‘t at home but thank you, always happy if someone thanks for the time we spend on this server
I wouldnt have stuck with Voron printers if it hadnt been for the community, there are so many pitfalls that you avoid by readiong obscure, messy documentation, pins on the Discord forum, then finally firsthand info from the users here. My next project for this thing is gonna be the ERCF.
