It has been printing pla just fine, but its possible nothing Ive printed has had complex geometries. Running reprap, with a vitalli tap, and clockwork2 extruder and a dragon sf.

Those prints look fine to me.

Holes in the top layers, or is that fine, or is that a pressure advance issue

Those holes look more like a slicer issue. PA might fix it but too much will cause layer lines.

Are you using the standard print settings voron recommends? Their parts are designed around it.

If PA is fine when flow is reset to 100%, then it should not be PA. If you drop EM too low, then PA will appear off

Both PA and EM can cause gaps, but to me.. i think your EM looks a little low
