I just like standard engine 4/6 90 tonners, and I want to be able to use a Ymir mini in the ilClan era. The Taurians were the last faction to have access to them, though that was a primitive tech version during the Jihad.

But the Taurians are catching up a bit with their mech tech, so here's an idea for a circa 3153 Taurian assault mech.

90 tons, 360 standard engine, standard gyro, standard cockpit.

Endo Steel, 12 double heat sinks, 14.5 tons of ferro fibrous armor.

LB-5X, two MML-7s, 3 tons of ammo, a Large X-Pulse Laser and Small X-Pulse Laser (to deal with infantry), CASE II (costs 1 ton).

It's nothing amazing, but it's pretty flexible. Which is what I figure a Periphery state needs from anything it builds. Reminds me of a bigger Marshal, honestly.

I'd just take a normal SLP to deal with infantry, tbh

#

It's twice as dangerous to them

Is it? I just assumed it would be a normal SPL with more range for more heat.

#

Yeah, unless it changed in a newer edition, TacOps says SXPLs still do 2d6 to infantry.

Which is the wierd one

Oh, huh

I thought SPLs did more than 2d6 Burst Fire damage
