@wild ruin @merry mortar How's this? My attempt at turning it into more of an IFV.

wild ruin
#

Aint bad. Especially for its size

static bloom
#

It's got an extra ton of armor.

wild ruin
#

If you wanted to give it more anti infantry support, you could also swap one of the srm4s to AP Gauss and ammo. But thats definitely not necessary [since infernos can do it too]

static bloom
#

That was kind of the idea

wild ruin
#

👍

static bloom
#

Honestly even with the extra armor and more dedicated firepower, it's still not quite an IFV.

wild ruin
#

Its fairly close.

#

It can handle light armor, which is what an IFV should do.

#

And support its passengers on the field for a time

static bloom
#

I guess.

wild ruin
#

It wouldnt want to fight heavier targets, but that isnt its job.

#

And since BT doesnt have thing like TOW missiles to make up that gap, it just tags out to actual firepower for that role

static bloom
#

True.

#

Sadly I face a lot of mechs and heavy armor in this campaign.

wild ruin
#

Yeah. But since you have a CLPL you can dance out at long range and take pop shots

static bloom
#

That's pretty much what I do anyways.

wild ruin
#

This is why I like the CERLL as an IFV main gun. So the lighter armor transport can just poke without cares

static bloom
#

I mean it's a fine weapon... but cLPL.

wild ruin
#

Lol yeah

#

I do it solely cause more range

#

The point is for the IFV to be out of counter fire range

static bloom
#

So not that different from an APC.

wild ruin
static bloom
#

Well... in this case it's Elementals.

wild ruin
#

Or help the infantry they carry engage other infantry

static bloom
#

These are specifically designed for Elemental points.

wild ruin
#

Yeah. In this case its less that the infantry cant, and more just providing support

static bloom
#

Yep... especially since we don't get Omnis.

wild ruin
#

Omni Vees are so weird XD

static bloom
#

I meant omnimechs but yes. 🤣

wild ruin
#

Ah. Talking about vees so i thought vee XD

merry mortar
#

Seems pretty workable as a design, though the ammo load may be a bit optimistic about its survival/loiter time at SRM ranges

static bloom
#

I mean maybe.

#

I just wanted an anti-mech punch since lights tend to chase it.
