So its important to remember that racs are subject to the cluster table
Good luck not borking the RACs if you hold down the trigger, and medium lasers are the best weight/heat/damage weapons in the game
Don't expect more than 2-3 shots to hit per turn per gun on average
Apparently this is enough to melt an opponent in one turn, and that cluster doesn't matter
A medium laser does 5 damage in exchange for 4 tons

ML spam is very efficient, as long as you can get in range
Id say this design can put out about 50-60 damage per turn if your pilot has a 100% hit rate and is in range
Until a rac jams, which it will, and often lol
If the enemy has something like a single large laser, though, they can just kite you around and wait for the RACs to jam 😛
I'm not a fan of RAC's personally, but they're not bad weapons, just a matter of taste
Phoenix Hawks are always a fun way to test if you can actually take on all the things you need to...
I mean if is a standard large laser then it's got the same range as a rac/5
And on average, not looking at 7 roll but in total average, if you shoot 6 shots that's 4 shots hitting for 20 total damage, if shooting 5 it's 3.17 for 15.85, so with the lasers you can output 70 average damage assuming everything his and fire 6 for the RACs
yea but the jam chance on those RAC's is high enough that it's not reliable

only 8% if you fire 5's, but I've used enough RAC's to know that comes up often enough to be a problem

Oh, WHAAAT? I thought RACs rolled per shot. I’ve even played that way, I think. This has utterly blown my mind.
All Rapid Fire weapons (UACs too) become clusters when you fire multiple shots

A little history...
Your not firing "Shots" your firing Salvos per trigger... Ultras and RACs are emptying large quantities of Salvos at a time...
Think Gatling here, as long as the trigger is pulled, your on "rapid" fire mode.
Up to "barrels" per turn rate.
