Update, got the window to finally pop up. But still no salvage.

If I auto resolve, then I can salvage. But if I manually battle then Im unable to salvage.

Its not uncommon to not have any salvage. Destroying a unit CT or having it destroyed on an ammo explosion does remove it from the salvage pool

Sure, but after 20+ battles and not 1 salvage is stretching it. Also used auto resolve and it generated salvage almost everytime I won.
