I use Windows 11, this maybe a Java issue. I keep getting this message and even after doing the extract all, nothing happens. I have to admit I'm frustrated. I suppose that I could go back to 50.01 considering that I never downloaded 50.02 or just play on 50.03 still but I also like creating my own stuff for ops and contracts

What happens when you double click the jar file
After shutting it down, and opening it back up, the icon for mekhq is shown and it's working
This usually means that you tried launching the game from a file inside a zip file. If you double click on a zipped file in windows, windows file explorer displays the zipped contents like a normal file folder, but in fact is a file/folder inside a zip file.
As I said it's fixed
keeps saying I need Java 11.0 even though i downloaded the java in the popup
