Aka, what happens when a periphery looks at a semi-functional Marauder and a broken catapult and then goes "NOW KITHSS". Its not a Madcat, I swear :v

Downgraded from an XL engine due to rarity, kept the DHS cause they were undamaged (and headcanon is that they are easy to maintain). 3x JJs also removed for weight. Kept CASE cause reasons (and I refuse to believe that people forgot how to make goddamnded blowout panels).

Drop two heatsinks and put two MLs in the arms as well. Give it some close in defense and it'll still be near heat neutral.

Dropping two DHS would give you 2 MLs

You would still be heat neutral at a walk with everything but the meds.

Up close no LRM and 2 meds makes you run cooler than normal even using JJs

Anyways, I basically just slap an additional 15 tons on whatever chassis is getting the catapult donor parts (cause LRM15s are 7 tons each, and we round to nearest 5), and call it a day :v
(jk, I redo its internals to match the new weight)

If this wasn't something that I would also use for casual play at my LGS then maybe. As is, I'm already running at the maximum heat for my personal preferences as several people I play against irl are firm believers of Lord Inferno.

I'm not sure why my players decided to keep the loadout so cold for their madapult though, since I never throw infernos at them (only tandems 🙂... sometimes )

TBF infernos aren't hard to work against unless you get jumped or they ALL have em though.

Just like TC whoever decides to carry the shiny ammo get the Xmas tree treatment

Like, most of my designs are a fairly conservative with regards to heat, favoring the ability to alpha strike safely. I still end up having my 'Mechs overheat enough to cook-off Infernos in pretty much every fight, whether from combat damage or just needing to hold off a push
