For a style ofc do a style study, but u gonna wonder also why/how theyre doing certain things that way,

#

Look at the shape language, the line of action, how they draw certain features across many references, like noses hands and eyes. To study a style is to study what makes it up.

Its like learning what the seasonings are before putting them in ur food,

Id say take the time to try and replicate the drawings as u see them, even trace them a little bit, get used to how they do things and actually think of the forms. Replicating art is a good way to learn because you really have to think as youre doing the process and you have something definitive to compare too

I did this with a artist i rlly liked when i wanted to learn more rendering, i kinda got close but theres a lot of difference in the color and seeing those differences and knowing the thoughts i went thru doing it is beneficial in the long run

Also ik the two images are two different kinds of styles, id say study them both differently then study them together, maybe even photobash them. Doing so means u understand both aspects of the styles on their own and now can pick and choose what aspects u want to keep or merge
