#I'm still trying to figure out rendering. What else do I need to do?

Hi there! I’m here to help 😁
So first of all I want to compliment your art! The style, the character, it’s very stunning.
However, the rendering has all the same red hue; there are no oranges, yellows, greens, blues, purples, or variety! Just red. Shifting of hues is a very important way to add interest, color, and specialty to your art ❤️
In my scribbling over, I just made sure to add yellow to the highlights, blue to the shadows, pink for transitions… a lot of very subtle yet impactful colors added to her skin. I’m not sure if it was your art style, but the chin looked a smidge short to me, so I elongated and expanded it slightly.
With your character’s hair, I added volume because before it looked as if it was directly on her skull. Hair has dimensions that would stick out. I was hesitant on changing the 3 spikes on each side as I thought it was part of your character’s design, but I thickened it slightly for more variation. With her hair, I used different hues and shades of red! Pinkish red, bright red… of course you don’t have to go this bright. For shading hair, focusing on large shapes and separation is key.
Amazing drawing, keep trying, and you can only ever get better 💖💕 I hoped this helped you!
Thank you! This really helps! The colors you added does make her face pop and her hair looks better thicker and brighter. I'll remember to add different hues in my next piece. 👍🏾 ❤️
Glad to hear that 😄
BROOO this is so helpful
do you think you could do something similar for me?
Sure but not rn! Maybe tomorrow
i completely understand cause of the time, thank you so much☺️
take your time, i can't wait🫠
Twin, that already looks rlly cool imo! I don’t think it needs much help, and the art style very pretty! However, the adjustment I would make is expanding the guy’s hair on the left side and simplifying the tuffs of hair, because it is not proportionate to the right side.
Now this is just me being picky, but you can darken the eyebags and eyebrows to match the rest of the piece (like the mouth and the nose). This is not a must! And just to look cool, you fill the eyebrow the eyebrow with white for distinguishing from the eyebags.
🤍 I love ur work! What’s this guy’s name?
ayyy alr i will def be using these suggestions, (he's gabimaru from hell's paradise btw) thanks a lot bro I appreciate you looking at it
Sure! Happy to help 😁
Yeah I asked my friend and they told me he was from a show lol
i already like your drawing! but i think its easier to shade if you start with a little bit lighter and desaturated skin tone so you can add darkness and more colors in the process. also use some more harder edges and maybe add some blue into the darkest shadows 😄
