Yeah I can tell what's going on but even if she twisted the barrel I feel like a bullet would still go straight through the metal, meaning that he could still shoot her. But yes I can understand what's happening :3

i studied comics in school, to me i didnt understand that they twisted the barrel back at him in the fifth panel 😔 because it looked like the scope of the rifle. i wonder if theres another way you can show the barrel turning? :]

i dont think a color change would help. i believe the readability problem is coming from this: the soldier is looking in the scope with his left eye > the barrel gets bent to the left > suddenly the barrel is on his right eye but then in panel 6 its on his left. do u get what im saying? its kind like the 180 rule

if i was going to draw it, i would completely remove panel 5 and combine panels 6-7 and kind of exaggerate that intimidation with the char's faces
