#Tips on colouring skin?

I think it’s good as it is and it will get better when you color the rest but maybe try adding more shadow or light where you add curves or wrinkles in the lineart
What id recommend is not rendering the edge(??) of the skin as much, like how the arms are, here’s an example! This also applies to the face as shadows don’t just touch the outlines of skin and spread across the entire body
Here’s some skin rendering I’ve done as well if you want a better idea! Definitely have more than one color for your shadows, also small idea with your own drawing I didn’t do all but I hope it gives you an idea of what might suit your style!
Also, establishing where your light source is coming from helps a ton
But otherwise this is so pretty I love your style
It also depends on how much muscle definition your character has, because if there’s more it’s way more complicated💔
If this helps any this is what I mean by different colors other than one flat color for rendering, it helps it look more natural even if this is NOT the best example LMAO
He does actually he's slightly shorter than most of the other guards which makes him a liiittle more defined💔
God is not on my side
LMAO I get that, a lot of my characters do not have a lot of muscle simply because I hate drawing it
Goodluck dawg
Coming back to reread this since I finally have time to draw but I don’t understand what you’re saying
Ts all I got as of now
Super sorry it 6am when I wrote that and had just woken up💔 💔
It’s looking good! Uhhhhsggghg if you know what pillow shading is, where they shade the outside of the item and leave the inside the highlight, that’s what I mean in a way.
This is looking fantastic though!
Like this example, the shadows aren’t on the very outside all the way through the arm like yours are on the forearm if that explains it better
Yes! Much better it’s looking awesome
