i really want to start drawing more pokemon but im not very good at it.
its also hard to find good references for less-liked pokemon (such as alola grimmer) and im not sure how to start. I tried just, copying the design but they didnt turn out that good.
Does anyone have any tips? or maybe tutorials i could check?
(they are jst sketches ofc, the grimmer is the 1st i made)

Well I'm no pokemon expert, so I can't help too much, but I see that you downsized a bit of the main features of these two characters, pokemon are usually very simple in design so they basically upscale everything.
Meowth's head is larger than their body, and their eyes and mouth are very close together, that's the reason why their headshot looks off, the eyes need to be bigger and closer.
Grimer looks mostly fine, but their eyes and mouth need to bigger and his mouth more open
