well how long do u spend on smth like this^^?
What programs and tools are you using, people may have certain tips depending on their chosen platform, I use procreate so iv got more than a few ways to speed up my workflow
I mostly use Photoshop with wacom pen. I learned How to use Photoshop Just in 2023. ^^"
Something like 16 hours. Because this character ia not too complex to me.
yeh i get that frustration then perhaps u get too attached to the drawing and u need to do some excercises where ur just completly tearing through poses breaking down thing as simple as they get so u can easily do any pose or design in an hour
In this video, I use a drawing of Rumi from K-Pop Demon Hunters to explain the ‘shorthand’ technique professional storyboard artists use to draw faster. To prove it works, I did 100 drawings in a day. Enjoy!

i found this is a good vid though really taking advantage of the shortcuts in ur software is helpfull to i just know nothing about photoshop so this is the best advice i could give it to just work more on having a process down
Thank you, Lucas, for the video suggestion! I'll take a look.
like when i do a drawing i either just do it from imagination or i look for inspo and then i get the inspo then look for refrence pics one for the pose one for maybe some style quirks one for the colour pallete and then i use the structures i know work like the shapes u can break the body into and do the pose and then the rest is as expected^^
and i am by no meens a fast artist but i got a lot faster by doing more drawings of less quality but focusing on the quality of the process instead
Nice! I'm learning techniques like light and shadow and colorimetry. It's been helpful.
On top of just getting your fundamentals down, tools like lasso tooling larger areas for quicker coloring can improve process speed alot, and remember to separate all of your colours onto layers so that they can be individually selected and and manipulated through alpha locking (which allows you to only draw on the selected area that already exists on a layer) or layer masking (which applies a layer mask to what's on the layer below allowing for quick retexturing)
With proper tool use and shortcuts art like this becomes quite quick
@languid sun Thank you! How long did it take to finish this drawing?
