so yeah as doortonyx said eyes should be at the middle of the face, heres some reference sheets. my advice to find which eyes to draw is to think of some character traits (is he sleepy, fierce, joyful horny, crazy, snob, sick etc...)
any that matches the facial features/shape
Hey!!! I'll give u some advice if its still needed! My biggest tip is before even drawing facial features, draw a circle for the cranium. Then make a cross in the middle of the circle, the horizontal line being a reference for the eyebrow line! Right bellow that horizontal line is there the eyes should be placed. Always makes use the distance in-between the eyes are the same length as the eye for facial harmony (ofc people are unique and sometimes these rules dont apply based on certain people).
Below the horizontal line break up the lower half into 3 equal sections, the lines should match up where the bottom of the eyelids should be and where the bottom of the nose should be. (Positions vary based on different individuals but its important to just get the muscle memory from this basic method first..)
Other tips: I made the cranium bigger and wider because the head seemed a bit squished, and I make the nose and lips line up more with the chin because it was slanted. These things will also help with eye placement. Sometimes people make the end of the eyelids go all the way to the edge of the cranium. Most of the time that's not how eyes work but if youre doing a more cartoon/anime style sometimes it does go all rhe way to the edge. But its always important to practice the more semi-realistic anatomy before implementing your own style. Overall, make sure you make guide lines for the eyes and other features before coloring/rendering. It makes things a whole lot easier! Hope this helped!.
Thats the Loomis head
Well I wasn't trying to critique the jaw because they were asking about eye placement
Just a note for self improvement
thank y'all sm
