#How do you draw a female chest at this angle?

Im too lazy to plug my tablet in but it would be kinda like this
You’re an angel!! Thank you so much

Hi,
Let's break it down into simple shapes. we are, as the viewer, looking down at the subject, so we would need to consider the perspective of this piece.
this is how i broke it down before i added breasts. now, breasts are simple shapes no matter the size, and the chest is a 3d shape.
i've seen people try to compare them to teardrops or water balloons, but either do work regardless.
(sorry for the late response, i am not used to perspectives like these, lol.)
Thank you so much! The shapes really helped break it down, I’m not fantastic with perspectives yet so this really helped! Would it be alright if I posted a picture of the piece to see if it’s anatomically ok?
go ahead
Alright! Thank you again, one second let me pull it up
I’m also a little stuck drawing a plunging neckline at this perspective
For context, this is the character I’m drawing
(Ignore the half drawn garchomp in the back- I’m still trying to work out how to make him not look stupid)
YES CYNTHIA APPRECIATION
the garchomp looks weird bcus of the perspective, i think. Garchomp in lore is pretty tall, yea?
Yeah! I’ve been sketching and resketching what he’s supposed to look like, but I haven’t a clue how to draw dragons- let alone at this perspective
Here was an old concept sketch
But nothing seems right- I can’t even draw animals let alone a dragon
honestly just simpify it into shapes. I didn't know how to draw horses but after referencing a photo i managed to draw a horse.
all from a single reference.
That’s genuinely incredible! Your rendering is absolutely breathtaking
I think my main issue is that I can’t visualise garchomp realistically/in my art style
So trying to render him is making me pull my hair out
give me a second to respond to this real quick so i can respond to the question about animals
crap
this one
Take your time! It’s all good :)
(Also I apologise if I don’t respond right away, it’s 3:30am and I may fall asleep and I’ll check everything in the morning :))
okay
the anatomy looks fine. the clothes look a little weird, but refer to the shapes. like mentioned before, you are looking down at the subject. it should reflect on how you draw wrinkles and the clothing. the choker she has is following that perspective, but not the sleeve.
Cynthia is a little flat chested, so the right side of her body should show a little more skin.
when it comes to animals, all it comes down to is patience and simplification. It took me a while to understand how to simplify a horse. I didn't fully learn the anatomy, but i did heavily reference a photo of a statue i found online.
however with Garchomp, you will have to rely on your perception of space. This is how i simplified the head of garchomp.
(i turned it into a pyramid and added more stuff to after that.)
garchomp is 6'3, and i don't think Cynthia is around that height. if anything, Garchomp would have to lower his body a little to show the upper part of his head.
keep that in mind.
Thank you so much for all the feedback! Give me a moment to read over it all and make some adjustments
I adjusted it to show off more of the shoulder-y area since you made a good point of the arm not matching the perspective correctly! Hopefully this is more accurate?
I will! Since you mentioned garchomp leaning down, I may implement that for simplicity- I’m worried that in this perspective, if he’s standing up his head will be cut off 😔
Let me have a little go with playing around with some pyramids!
Ahh I found a garchomp 3D model for reference!!
I can move it around and everything, I’m so pleased
Used this as a general concept, is this a little better?
You’re getting there. Good job!
Thank you! Just another quick question! (I’m so sorry, I’m really lost) is garchomp in the correct perspective here?
I compared him to Cynthia and I started using perspective lines and he doesn’t seem correct
He looks a little wonky, but the only advice i can give you is to take a break from it and come back to it later.
Hello again! I’m sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you’d mind taking a look at the piece now? It’s still got a bit more to go- but it just seems… like it’s missing something
The portion of garchomp behind her hair hasn’t been shaded yet
It just seems like none of the aspects of the drawing are actually in one piece if that makes sense? They all look like they’re supposed to stand alone and I’m not sure how to fix that
