My Feedback would be to make sure that you find where your lightsource is!
In the drawing you sent, the lightsource appears to be coming from the right where the leaves are. However, since shes outside, her main lightsource is actually the sun above her! First and foremost, the grass is actually pretty unnatural infront of her lol. I think what you were trying to achieve is the overhead leaves.
In these types of light compositions, the character would usually be under a tree, and the leaves would be from said tree! The light shines through the gaps of the leaves, and shadows appear on the character. With this in mind, in the image you sent, because the lightsource is above them, the shadows would not actually appear on the character--instead, it would be on the ground. Which is why knowing where to place your lightsources, and the objects casting these shadows is super important :)))

any tips on how paint the light on the plant leaves properly?
Id what u mean but if u mean how to shade the leaves then you can use a leaf brush and use dark and light colours
