Does anyone have any tips for beginners in rendering and shading for digital art?

I've been doing digital art (Procreate on Ipad) for a while now, but don't really feel like I'm improving depth-wise. I have a more animated style, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for practicing and starting out when it comes to rendering and shading.

Any overall tips would also be great, I've had to reteach myself art since my canon event of my highschool art teacher ruining my passion did in fact occur ToT

Personally i would try using more saturated colors and looking for Things u Like in other ppls Artworks and applying that to ur pieces

You might wanna look into drawing tutorials regarding the topic of ambient occlusion.
It's not as hard to learn as other light/shadow techniques and can be combined with those later on, so I think it's nice for starting out 🙂
