Hope this isnt late. try using the bamboo method with the fingers! As for the colors, i suggest an array of mainly warm autumn colors (ie red, orange) but with an hue of green to contrast (jade, foret green)

OMG tysm ,u absolutely aren't late and another doubt of mine is that should I make her face front since someone said her hair line looks weird and facing front will show her head pattern more

you could if you want! No matter what you’re going to make errors/things that look wonky while making art pieces. So improving a little bit at a time might be beneficial. So if you want to change the head perspective, go for it!
