Sketches are supposed to be rough ideas on how your drawings going to look, anatomy wise and design wise. People have different ways of sketching. I heavily reccommend using references as your anatomy seems to be pretty off- you should also try to explore color theory as it helps a lot. Try also using different techniques to help you create your own flow!

There are loads of videos on all these topics

#

I also highly reccommend finding artists you like and taking inspo from them!

My favorite thing to do is little art studies. I will find an artist that I love and study the way they do certain things, like eyes, hair style, body shapes, etc.

I use a lot of references, there are some great tools out there to help like easy pose on steam or on clip studio paint. Using a chibi base and changing the proportions to fit your style can definitely help you visualize and achieve your goals!

As for the sketching, if you are working with a mouse it may be more difficult for you. Tablets and pens allow pen pressure to be accounted for, whereas a mouse may not be able to do that. The sketch you did tho looks pretty good so please don't be too hard on yourself!

Ok the basics of human proportions and drawing is that you are supposed to simplify everything

#

ok so i can try and explain basics on my stream

#

i hope i helped

#

the problem with your study is tha you try and get the correct conturs of the body before you understand proportions and basic shapes

#

and my tip would be dont get attached to that just yet

#

you can shave of the angles of the box rounf it up and get the torso ribcage you want

#

put two curvy lines on a tube and it becomes a forearm

#

so you can see that the basics look kinda goofy

#

but without them even if you try hard to make everything as pretty as you can its just gonna look off

for males its basicly the same one except you don go for waviness or hour glass and keet it blocky
