I think it's the way his head is facing. in your reference his head is facing down a little bit, a little bit more facing the camera and looking at his hand. in ur drawing it looks like his head is a little more like a 3/4s view and hes looking off to the side

Yeah i realized eventually his face angle is a little different compared to his ref, do you think the change throws anything off though? I don't care about being 1:1 with the reference as long as it looks natural/looks like it works
