What happens now

  1. The team will review the initial application to check its genuine and if the web client is compatible at first-glance.
  2. We will initiate a connection test to verify your shard is accessible to the public.
  3. The shard will be approved depending on the above, at which point you can test and verify the web client works correctly.
  4. When you are ready we will also verify by logging into the shard.
  5. If everything works the shard will be moved to the Active list for players.

Please be patient as we review applications in our own free time, we try to be quick but cannot guarantee any timelines.

:sparkles: Shard passed the connection test check initiated by @lone dune.

This test uses the Free shard protocol 0xF1 stats packet to verify your shard is reachable, if the check fails you may need to verify your shard supports the packet.

Raw Response: ```
{clients:8,items:49832,chars:1019,age:49,memory:0,ping:31,fetchedAt:1769882265133}

**Note:**
- If the response is all `0` this indicates the shard failed to respond to the query.
- You can use this [powershell script](https://gist.github.com/jabinb/1dc076839f2fae808c13ebbc1de911c6) to manually test your shard before asking us to re-test.
- The ping is as seen from New York, and is based on the time it took for your shard to reply to the 0xF1, not an ICMP ping.

:white_check_mark: Approved by @lone dune, Terra Nova added to the Testing list.

Next steps:

  • Update your shard's details and customise your server list appearance.
  • Follow the patching guide to add files for your shard, this is necessary whether you have custom files or not (incognito mode will not work).
  • Update your packet settings, enable and implement the WebIdentity packet if you have an IP limiter.
  • Configure your shard rules to lock or set defaults for certain game profile settings or web client features.
  • Login to your shard and verify everything works as intended on the web client, you can find your shard on the list by applying the Testing filter in the UI.
  • Report back to this thread when you have completed the above and tag a Web Client dev to check, if everything is ready for players we will move your shard to the main Active list.

Things to be aware of:

  • Incognito mode is incompatible with the web client as it has lower browser storage limits that cannot fit the game assets.
  • Shards won't be moved to the Active list unless they reply to the "Free shard protocol" 0xF1 stats packet.
  • The shard list ping is measured by via the stats packet (how long it took your shard to reply), not from an ICMP ping.
  • Faking client count will result in being de-listed and us being very disappointed in you.

Could you please set this shard to Active?
Also, I’m unable to add another person to Management... do you know how to do that?

Send me in pvt the users you want to add as collaborator for your shard. I need the discord ID. You can find the discord id surfing to -> play.classicuo.org -> click the user image (top right) and click the alphanumeric string you see in the ss:
