Just did a little testing and there's so really weird stuff happening.

So larger shield takes priority. If you have a 2k shield, then put up a 1.5k shield, you'll still have a 2k shield. If you put up a 1.5k shield, then put up a 2k shield, you'll have a 2k shield. Once your shield is gone, it doesn't get replaced with the other.

The strange observation, if you have a 2k shield with only 100shield left, and use 1.5k shield, it fully restored the 2k shield?

But then I would also assume it continues using the 2k shield buff turns?

Yeah, they should probably mark turns more clearly on action order for bosses that it matters.

In HSR the "turns" is kinda like a time line. like this. The numbers are "action value". if a character is taking their turn on action value 282, the're doing it on turn 2.

depending on a units speeds and action advance buffs, you can take multiple turns within the same turn.

Also "turns" have two definitions in these kinds of games also makes it harder to know which is meant. You have how many "turns" most buffs last, which has nothing to do with the timeline, but character actions. But completing a battling in X turns, has to do with timeline. So... don't really know what Walpugisnact means by odd/even, I wuld assume timeline, but IDK.
