honestly it depends on whether you want to maximize production range or speed

like, the LC batteries for the thermal generators for speed it's optimal to plug in 2 shredders to the two-combo other node portion that uses amythest

but for production range you only want to use 2 ports for that, so using a splitter to return some of the amethyst stuffs to depot (or send them to another production portion) would be better

it's not a huge issue but it's there on occasion

1 Origeometry gives you 75 Oroberyl and you need 500 Oroberyl for a pull
