my albert with relics on it has like 4.5k def, and he's lv1

and when I go into the detail view, like 2.1k of that is base value, which makes me think that the flat subs are counted there

that's 1200 total

if we take the base minimum sub value for both, aka ~69 flat and 6% for %

600 * 2.06 is 1236.....

but 669 * 2.00 is 1338

so on their own, % is technically better, but flat counts prior to %'s application is what I'm saying

but past a certain point it's better to add flat subs than it is to add more%

I think the formula is smth like,
(base defense * additional%) vs (additional flat * current%), you take the larger value

it also means it's possible to build tanky support/dps chars too

for gold relic subs anyways

that's tilted slightly in favor of %, but you get the gist

so if you have 60% def% boost from gear or whatever, and your defense is lower than 1600

you'd want to add flat subs until it passes that threshold, then start alternating between the two

for maximum efficiency anyways
