Nah I doubt mounts aren't already being made, people probably have already complained about why IR's ability isn't just a flat out mount as turning the timer its out to infinite will basically make it a mount, so there is a high chance of it happening.

There's a couple issues with mounts in a game like this

The world isn't all that big, mounts would make it feel even smaller

Mounts might feel very desynced since the ping is high

Flying mounts would experience this more

I guess the last two are only points if they care about recording people's position in the game accurately, but it can have impact on interactables

tbh I don't think mounts/no mounts would be an issue if they just upped the running speed of characters by like 15-25%

theres very little difference between running and walking speed in this game imo

Ngl the world is pretty big and would only get bigger as more updates release, Imo even now a mount would've been incredibly useful just for traversal whilst looking for chests.
Also flying mounts would be useful as there are alot of tall structures in the game, If you don't want to parkour up them just fly up there instead.
So there is a reason to have both of them

From the company perspective speeding up player progression is an anti pattern because it means players run out of things to do very quickly

Currently it already takes very little time to clear the mobs on the map (of a single echo)
