thats for one 4th gen, so another 1 to pair you'll have possible 16 S-Slots for 5th gen, 12 max so thats more than enough
Throw in Heroism as much as you can if RnG allows it on gen 1-4, assuming you have 6 Heroism each for your Male and Female 4th gen, breed to 5th and awaken until all 12 slots get heroism. Obviously the more Heroism the easier it is to awaken at 5th gen. Also when breeding to next gen, the monster can unlock S-slot

I think one reason Heroism > Break is cause monsters will become harder to break the more you break + even harder if it has higher gen.
But if youre farming gen1's (even in hard mode) then its more viable as they break easily

Fought few gen3-4 monsters in hard mode and its not fun breaking them after the first 2 breaks
