i mean, u can just go to another device, get the game and go through the tutorial

well just to give a brief description why aim reroll for ego over 000 characters
Each character have 3 skills in total (1 is locked tier u unlock it), each having a certain element (colour), and there are 7 colours.
Each round, each character can use 1 skill, and all characters can attack, linking the same colour skills will amplify the skill.

For egos, to activate them, you will need a certain number of "coloured skill points". Eg, 4 red, 1 orange and 1 purple.
For every 1 red skill you use, u get 1 red skill point.

So all in all, u are building ur team around the ego you have, as you need specifc coloured skills to use them.
But generally most characters skill colour is related to their ego

EGO to aim: Meuersault > Ishmael > Gregor > Outis in terms of general utility. They have always working stuff not tied to any dmg type or sin.

ID (000): Hong Lu = Rodion = Sinclair > Ryoshu. All have great skills with decent base roll numbers and bonuses and high damage potential. Even before Tier 3 upgrade, their first 2 set of skills are good on its own.

As for the other 000 IDs:

Don - needs tier 3 upgrade to get her most important skill. Before that damage kinda bad and needs to stack charge to do big damage,
Heathcliff - skills have low base power which means losing more often if enemy has high base skill. Also, skills says something about spending ammo but nothing in skills or passive says anything about giving ammo so this ID is in "how it exactly works" tier,
Ishmael - Not opposing skill that ignores clashes sounds great... but again, locked behind Tier 3 and needs to be stacked. Plus it means this skill will not clash > One less clash on our end and enemy gets to attack with no clash too. Definitely gets better the longer battle is.
Keep in mind that Don, Heathcliff and Ishmael ID's are not bad per se, just other 4 seem stronger and more universal overall.
