Yea but it's more than that. I played so many roguelike to completion during 1 month... And dead cell just felt worse than the other.

The ability to play a playstyle you like is so inconsistent vs the other roguelike. In most you can select your class or starting weapon.

In dead cell I had multiple run without my favorite weapon, forced to play a playstyle I found mid to play to straight up dislike.

And in the case you got your fav weapon.. If you get it early it have shit stat and cannot be use for the whole game.

To their credit, dead cell is probably the oldest of the one i played so maybe that why.

But their roguelike integration just... To me, it's the worst of almost all the one I played. Game would have been better as pure metroidvania
