I had no issues running the Steam version through Quest Link, so the black screen only seems to occur with Virtual Desktop.

It looks like this began happening after the 12.01 update was installed, Everything was working fine before

# bronze heath You may want to try changing your default OpenXR settings. There are options to ...

I tried all four combinations of Meta Link / Virtual Desktop and OpenXR default settings (Meta or Steam) as suggested

As you mentioned "Meta Link + OpenXR default set to Meta" works well and "Meta Link + OpenXR default set to Steam" does not work.

Left : "Meta Link + OpenXR default set to Meta"
Right : "Meta Link + OpenXR default set to Steam"

But In the case of Virtual Desktop, neither OpenXR setting (Meta or Steam) works.

This is "Virtual Desktop with OpenXR set to Steam"
aaand... The last one is over 50MB, wait a second..

And finally, one thing I found out :
When launching a Steam app using the button in the Virtual Desktop menu, it seems to automatically set the default OpenXR runtime to Steam.

@dense silo One additional thing I discovered in my tests:

I was actually able to run the recent version of Tribe on Steam through VD by selecting "VDXR" as the OpenXR runtime on the streamer app on my PC.
