Hey I came to report the same issue. If for some reason the controller turns off while playing, when I turn the controller back on, it immediately turns off again. (eg battery dies, or if I leave theh game paused and the controller turns off) . The only way to fix is to quit, turn the controller back on and then restart the game.

Also, if I try to connected after turn off with a wire, it will still turn off.

If it helps I am using an x-box 1 wireless controller with the windows xbox USB dongle to connect (not bluetooth).

Also, I have noticed that it will connect as expected if I turn it on during the first launch at the landing screen (the one with the super giant welcome message). However, it will not connect if I quit to title screen after experiencing the issue.

Would it help to submit a bug report? I wasn't sure if this was a bug, or just me.
