make it happen your favourite crossover in ruina
I would
But again
I don't have the sprites for the battle :(
There are legit so many crossover characters I could make mods about
But my skill with a pencil or a mouse is lower than the inverse of a black hole's density
make ugly art and call it a meme mod
I'd be ashamed
i am slowly making progress in dark souls. tell me do the required areas and the lords get more fun or did i peak with the skeleton rave?
Skeleton rave?
ravelord nito
thanks for the tip
Four lords was an interesting bossfight though
wait no
the guy at the spooky ghost place lol
I forgot the name
Four kings*
'interesting' huh,
bed of chaos was interesting... doesn't mean i'm ever doing that the proper way again
Oh come on bed of chaos isn't that bad
istfg if I got a cent for every time I heard someone say bed of chaos was hard I'd have an €
oh it's not hard, just really annoying. there's a difference... and tbh dark souls likes falling into the second category over the first
honestly if the next lord turns out to be another annoying one i'm just gonna beeline for the dlc
Bed of Chaos is objectively poorly designed
The Archives and New Londo are probably the most interesting post-Lorevessel sections
Demon Ruins are unfinished and the darkness element in the Tomb of Giants was a good idea but poorly executed
It was clearly a rushed boss in a rushed Area
'But Boss we have only finished half the monster'
'No time, put it in the game, it doesn't need a torso or head'
bed is easy in the same way ceaseless is easy tbh
you can cheese them and save hours of pain and frustration dealing with jank
Bed of chaos is neat conceptually
And the atmosphere the area ended up having is fine
They ran out of money on that area
There's also a dead end around that part of Blighttown, near the bonfire
Like one thing shows up there at the very end under specific conditions. They probably had plans for that
They probably also planned for more than magma and starting bosses but they're smaller and there are 20 of them
But it's honestly kinda fun to plan around
Feels treacherous
I just recently found out the Titanite Demon guarding the bridge at the shortcut scales based on Titanite Demons killed
So obviously that's why it's a pain. I've farmed a lot.
I think the "most fun" area is like Catacombs or New Londo
Worst might be Crystal Caves
Especially the boss. The enemies before it are not balanced around being sl45
But I needed to kill for some spell
I already had Moonlight Greatsword. This was a pvp build for it.
I don't think there was a single area of ds1 I liked lol
I don't remember the order of DS but I liked Sens Fortress
And the area leading up to fat boy slim
I remember some of the areas
but blight town was by far the worst most annoying place in both ds1 and 3 (as in taking into account every area from both games)
Was that the dark place where you needed a lantern and could fall everywhere
ds1 was my favorite game when it came out but it doesnt hold up. Ds3 was pretty great
It's extremely boring and deathly annoying
Nah
I played it like 10 months ago and it is one of the reasons I'm never 100% ds1
You can't say he doesn't think it's boring lol
Nvm
12 years old, released on ps3 and xbox 360
Yeah I dont think its particularly old
Yeah I'm sorry but a game from the ps3 era isn't old enough to use limitations as an excuse
Time is relative
I am literally saying that isnt the case
I dont know how you are interpreting the exact opposite meaning when I am saying it isnt that old
And I am not saying that you are saying that it isn't
I'm the one that has no idea how you are interpreting a disagreement from this
Here
?
Here
Where's the argument
Oh you're trolling me
🍿
🖐️
You're both saying the same thing
Indeed
Possible language barrier
DS1 has 10/10 sections and 1/10 sections, DS2 ranges from 7/10 to 3/10, and DS3 is just kinda flat 6
for me its kinda the opposite
ds1 is either 5/10 or 1/10
3 is 10/10 would play it again and in fact I did like 4 times
idk about 2 I haven't touched it yet
The areas in 3 bore me to tears
The bosses are the best in the franchise
Or at least mostly bangers
the areas in 3 make me go: "That looks awesome" and let me focus on the combat that I actually have control over
the ones in 1 make me go: "Well I am mildly annoyed :)"
Everything is very grey and visually disinteresting
It's a cold scale I'll give you that
But there's blues and reds in the areas that need them
Also in the areas in 3 there's a feeling of progress (except for smoldering lake, that place looks the friggin same)
While in half the ones in 1 it feels like you are going on circles for hours
1 feels like it's laid out logically like a real place
Instead of nonsensical dreamscapes
What part of blight town feels like a real place lol
Which is the intention but I don't think it works well
The fact that it sits underneath where the sewers pours out and feels like a ramshackle shanty town
What about the descent to the actual "town" (more like a swamp)
How in god's name did anyone build such a haphazard set of platforms without leaving any easy way down
That part genuinely feels less like a part of the world
and more like a platforming level
I very much don't agree
It feels like a ramshackle set of platforms built by people who don't really know or have better
But it's so terribly built and in such a weird place that it just makes me wonder how any of them ever managed to go down and where they got the materials to build this
where did they build it from?
How did they get the support require to place the damn things?
Why did you make sets of wooden platforms
when you literally basically know how to make wooden elevators already
How did you even get all of this down to the sewers of all places?
Why do stairs exist when we have elevators
This is not a stair
this is the most broken down path ever that just happens to form a set of stairs if you squint really really hard
there's no stair design, they're god damn platforms
Also, I'm reading "mining colony of prisoners and infected"
So the platforms were for mining
Meaning they came from the bottom
meaning one again
how the flying hell did they build the platforms from the bottom and with what materials
You know the Chaos beings are basically trees right
you do not just place platforms on a cliff and they stay on
Like, that huge tree right there
you need proper support, beams, friggin sticks that come from the actual ground
and if this is for mining
why are there platforms that aren't on a wall
To connect to other platforms?
And why not connect them using the wall as support?
If that's what seriously bugs you about Blighttown I don't know what to tell you lol
It's a video game
there's just many things about blight town lol
Every place of the descent looks almost identical, the fact that it's even there is just nonsense, fromsoft placed ranged enemies specific to this place just to be annoying when trying to look around, there's platforming sections that require jumping and are whack af,
And yet I'd rather traverse Blighttown ten times a day than touch the Farron Swamp again
Hell naw
I'd rather play through Farron only 7 times more
than touch blight town ever again
And it also isn't as annoying as blight town
It's less interesting for sure
There's an actual floor, the place has things that are there for a real reason, the poison is annoying but not as much as the platforms
It's also much faster and map is actually recognizable
meaning you can easily learn the placement of things because every other corner doesn't look like the last corner
Yeah I just find Blighttown way more navigable
Down is the right direction
Find ladder, go down
Don't get shot by toxic dart guy
But Farron has actual landmarks to head towards, I don't know where the ladders are in Blighttown and the only way to find them is walking around endlessly trying not to fall
It feels like I'm actually exploring a place, not moving around until I find somewhere to go down
That feels like a you problem
Feels like a navigation problem
If you say so
there's also nothing to explore in a set of platforms, unlike a swamp
you know, an actual place, a place that you can find in nature
extensive, that may have stuff and many ways to go around the place to get the stuff
What about bloodborne
got the 100% on metroid dread, really enjoyed it
why do i go to sleep, wake up, and people are still talking about dark souls lmao
Dark Souls has enough content to talk on about for hours.
well i found the area i have to go to next and i've decided instead i'm gonna go find the dlc for some sanity first
So anyone here play smt v
Jesus NEO
Why having A be the Back Button and B being the Select Button?
Do you want to destroy my Muscle Memory?
That's cruel mapping scheme.
PS4 controls?
the B button is where X normally is
is it good
dsr also does this, i feel your pain
Square Enix are infamous for having astronomical and unrealistic Sales standards tho
@dire warren yes it’s good if you like turn based rpgs that is. If you don’t then it isn’t worth your money since you will hate the game from insception
Quick info dump: persona is a social simulator spin off of the smt series, it probably inspired Pokémon, and stories tend to be dark and focus on general philosophies with the characters being mouth pieces/advertisers of said philosopheies
But this game is weak on story since it’s obvious that it takes a back seat to the gameplay. Just keep in mind it’s challenging and save often
halo infinite has the worst battlepasses in history
i remember when you could still earn cosmetics for free in games
So does everyone that was born less than 10 years ago
yes but im still shocked that this happened to halo
and no it's not an excuse to do it even if it's free to play
so much for my blighttown memes
i would always start the game with the master key so i could get into blight town from the other side
I took the life ring for the easy early
Never played Dark Souls, but I have experienced Salt&Sanctuary's Mire of Stench so it's close enough.
Is the a good channel or podcast for indie or strategy games? Kind of burnt out on console action rpg so got a new laptop. For context, I'm inverted y axis for life so I'm looking to get back to style of older games in play style.
You could just google for them instead of looking for a pod cast
Would take too much time looking for a podcast to give you could give you what you want
Strategy game wise try civilization, and maybe some turn based rpgs if you consider them strategy such as smt 5
so it (persona and smt)'s basically better than every other turn based in every way? neat
...well, you can't exactly say pokemon has anything like a story anymore
It has a story but it what it does doesn’t work as a result of putting story back seat and because they tried to be minimalist with it. They needed more cutscenes and character interactions for the story to really work. Smt 3 Nocturne does minimalist right I hear and has a remaster but it suffers from being dated and thus lacking quality of life features
Also @dire warren smt v is an smt game just the most recent in the mainline games.
Civilization is fun for disconnecting though, the game's got very little depth
There's other 4x games out there that are slightly more interesting and make you think
Has the best game play of them all main line ones
@prisma mirage well tell the person asking not me I was just giving what few suggestions I know from the top of my head
Oh i was just making an observation
Civilization is fun 👍
But if they want something more complex maybe they can look into Endless Legend
@keen yoke endless legends is another good strategy game apparently
Yes 👍, but like every 4X it's expensive if you want the dlc
Unfortunately that’s starting to become more and more common with more games nowadays
some games take it to the extreme though
Indeed
the sims 4 dlc are like 25-50% off on steam right now
Some slap another 20-30$
and altogether they still cost 500€
Wow
the dlcs literally cost like 14 times the value of the game istfg
What does the dlc offer
Better be some major gameplay features ie the size of a game
new areas, clothes, furniture, and skills to level
In other words not that much
and very very rarely something actually sizeable like the university dlc
10€ for a bowling alley item, bowling clothes, and the bowling activity
ten, frigging, euros
Wow
for an activity and a set of clothes
Did activision make these
Ew
40€ literally for, and I quote: "Create unique clubs" (sim groups), "Join clubs and meet new sims", "get together and live it up" (aka party activities), "DJ and dancing skills" and an extra map
40€ for 2 skills, the ability to make groups, and activities that aren't even skills
bruh????
Just for that?
clearly worth 40€
Create Clubs for your Sims where you set the rules, define their looks, and customize their hangouts in The Sims™ 4 Get Together. Sims in a Club follow your rules when they’re together, regardless of how they usually behave, giving you new ways to play with your Sims! You can also meet new Sims by joining various Clubs with distinct interests, i...
$19.99
Sims cant be that hard to make
it's ea
I mean unless they have spaghetti code
(i mean they do but...)
That’s on them
also they've had 4 games to perfect the AI, and there's still community mods that one-up them within a month
Do they add patches to the bugs in the dlcs
Most of them yeah
Tbh a lot of well known western game companies have been really falling in quality astute observation I know
@dire warren anyways if you want to know more about smt v just ask
The big ones feel like they're trying to grind money at this point
They are
They became complacent
Like remember Diablo blizzard E3
Everyone knows that when you present a game on E3 that has been known to be a pc game what should be the primary feature are new games not mobile
Branching out to mobile is fine on its own but seriously
remember Blizzard in general (and specially WoW)
Don’t play wow just know it follows other mmo monetizations and worse now
I've heard a lot about it from acquaintances that used to play the game
I have played ffxiv though
They went full monetization and addiction
Ew
(oh and there's been a bunch of harassments lawsuits and etc)
EA and/or activision are probably gonna swallow up the company when it’s weak enough
I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing at this point
More like it’s the expected thing
That's more for conversation than discovery. Most of friends are ps5 and switch owners. Or into card and boardgames. I'm in between. They are not into supergiant games. I really love sable and wildermyth but most ppl I know never even heard of them.
Then I can’t really recommend you the only podcasts I listen to are the news
any big product coming out of Ubisoft, Actiblizz, Take Two or EA lately is always busted at launch
sure wish people would stop buying this garbage at launch
literal beta testers
I caught a shiny Bidoof in pokemon BD
I'm still ashamed I traded a shiny Darkrai for time using some kid's Wii
My father's girlfriend's kid
I restarted for that
Like grinded
I mentioned it on a stream once and people blew up over it
I wanted to play Brawl
Is it the Perfect Bidoof?
got a copy of sable for my birthday from a friend, and im really enjoying it so far! played it for like 8 hours straight... its such a beautiful and peaceful game
riding around and climbing and not having to worry about getting hurt kind of reminded me of submerged, which is another game i really loved when i played it
It's Modest nature so...could be worse?
Is there a consensus amongst the community on which entry was the best?
I grew up really liking 2 but the move to 3 made me feel wanting in terms of content polish, though it could be nostalgia goggles talking
my nominations for the steam awards include: eastward, cook-out, outer wilds, hoa, and unpacking
if anything i want outer wilds to score that labour of love award
I don't think I have played any games that came out this year
I am usually one to two years behind the curve
I recently decided to try and not to buy any new games and go through my library to finish the ones I haven't finished yet. It's hard though seeing all those current sales...
Growing your backlog is like growing a vineyard, it get better the older it is
fast travel is a feature that tells the devs arent confident of their open world
I tried playing some games without their fast travel features and god were they boring
my fav non fast travel game is stalker anomaly tbh
although it's made out of big open areas (proves how this format is superiour)
but then there's morrowind
Im a bit upset Halo fell for the open world meme
area based games get rid of the filler open world games have
Our new game now has open world!
One big map!
No more loading screens!
But when fasttravelling to skip boring empty spaces you will see them anyway!
Not when your backlog is like 20 games lol
Open world games are mostly fine imo
Sometimes it's fun to just walk through a road calmly for a few minutes until I find a landmark
true for rdr or tes
basically, when you're trying to make an open world, it has to be a world, living and interesting
world that goes on even without the player
Morrowind is a good example
idk about Morrowind but I have played skyrim for like 300 hours and I can tell you that world ain't moving till I get there
idk, still felt living enough
on the one hand, you're a "chosen one", a hero that has to save the world, but still
world is not revolving around you
most ppl don't even know who you are
Kinda does though? Most quests really only happen because the dragonborn was there even if they are unrelated to the characters
maybe gameplay-wise, but not story-wise
dragonborn just happened to be there when something happened
Happens to be there
and happens to be picked for absolutely every role ever
and happens to be favored by every god ever
imagine a fight of all the daedra for dragonborn's soul
your soul's abouta be split in 50 pieces for every lord that's given you a relic lol
oh and no one ever seems to discover anything without the dragonborn
kinda makes npcs feel more like they are just commenting on me moving around than actually being useful
(this is not applicable to every quest obviously)
(but you get my point)
have you ever been in a cloud district?
relative to that
I mean that I don't know what a cloud district is lol
probably nobody does but Nazeem
For better or for worse I don't remember a single dialogue Nazeem had
i guess for better, since there are mods that make Nazeem shut for good
there are mods that fix skyrim for good ;)
absolutely
Well not anymore
Cause bethesda broke half the mods like a week ago :)
A list of known plugins for Skyrim Script Extender and the compatible game versions.
XP32 skeleton broke, so that's a big frigging oof

for SSE and SAE
understandable
Loading screens are cooler than filler if we're talking about most open world games
If only loadingscreen minigames havent been patented by Bandai
To be fair my fav games with open world filler are Days Gone, Metro Exodus and Morrowind
Also RDR2 too, I love roleplaying as an outdoorsman
I would have loved the BOTW freeroam if it had actual hunting and could cook anywhere
here's your state mandated games
Ive been wanting DBD just to play with friends and I cba to pay for it
I genuinely dont understand the appeal
but as long as it's free
Oh now I'm curious .o.
I'm on the road to 100% NEO currently
Ok. I just started the third day
And how the plot and the characters basically ignore that ||Sho|| is in the team until he starts talking
Like people act like only Fret and Rindo are there
I think that's because ||minamimoto|| tends to stay in the back or outright not even be there until they need to do something
He's not even there when the day starts, he just joins up from god knows where
Oh ok
I wish I could play Skyrim without paying a small fortune for an old game tbh
Like could I have the not remastered game on Switch?
skyrim being 40€ 10 years after it's release is a crime ngl
I dont need the HD
it's 13€ in steam right now though
Yeah it's like $78 Canadian last I checked
Nintendo store doesnt help with the price but that's a very big price for an old game
And I'm not completely sold on it. Would just like to play a big rpg
Don't buy it on console, just get it on steam while it's on sale and mod the game
Yeah my laptop should be able to handle the original at least
also in pc you get access to the command console
You should probably wait until they stop updating it again though
Or until most mods are fixed up from the last update
Or you can buy it for a reduced price then later on play it when it's really stable
Special edition is anniversary edition though
It includes the patch that broke half the mods regardless of whether you can access the content from the dlc
bruh
i mean i can get it for dirt cheap
i got a secondary account set in argentina so i pay cheaper prices for games i do not support the companies of
I.E. Bethesda's skyrim rereleases
15 hours in SMT V. pretty fun so far. my bro who is pokemon fan said "this is what the new pokemon should have been like" in regard to exploring the environment lol
GF wont change anything because the majority of their customer base eats anything they throw at them
didn't gf literally proudly state that they deliberately ignore and go against the community? lmao
how's the performance atm? read in a few reviews that it's pretty choppy at launch in the bigger environments, is it really bad or have there been patches for it yet?
sure. opens legends of runeterra
it's funny how the mhr sonic collab still managed to disappoint.
like, now the shorts and legs are one piece so we can't actually have shorts, the armour's got really bad dye options, and it even glows just to drive the nail into the coffin.
...also our third narga event, just in case crown farmers wanted something else.
i love how LoL is so universally loathed that even the players admit it
all this lore....just for such a toxic and nerve wrecking game 😩
im biased because it killed the rts genre
No it didn't, mobas are just more appealing 👁️
LoL didn’t kill the RTS genre, the genre simply stagnates
I've yet to see any actual RTS game get popular nowadays
but I've seen several release
Lol is a trash game I hate the fact that I’m addicted to it
LoL is absolutely a good game though
It’s good, depending on who you ask
the popularity of MOBA killed it and many think of it as the evolution of the genre
Trash balancing, toxicity, no tools for teamwork, 100->0 in a few seconds meta
where is my micromanagement of every unit pepehands
There are tools for teamwork and the balancing absolutely isn't that bad
Yeah, that’s just the general consensus the community thinks. But, it is truly not tbh
Every bruiser can deal a ton of damage and get a ton of healing, it’s gotten so bad even assassins build bruiser
But, yeah, that’s the general consensus of the community
that is literally the point of a bruiser though
hot take but dawn of war 3 killed the genre for good
Not to have a ton of healing and have assassin like damage while being unkillable tho
-a salty adc player
They're supposed to be close range fighters with high survivability that can't be bursted
-An adc/assassin main
Aren’t these called tanks
Nope these are called fighters
At least make it so that they can’t heal up to 100% health with a single item press
Then what’s the point of overtuned healing if grevious is a necessity in every single game? Screws over champs with heal in their kit like soraka and vlad
It's called itemizing against a champion?
It's not a necessity every game, but it's a necessity for those champions specifically
So every single top laner and ad mid, which are all in the meta?
What game are you playing where everyone plays aatrox and vlad lol
I can literally only think of 7 or 8 top lane champs that actually rely on healing
Camille, irelia, talon, fiora, tahm, trynd, u know like the meta rn?
Talon top?
Graves, Lee sin, xin, warwick for jg are all meta
I said top lane champs
TopChamp
Every single champ except talon I listed are top lane in here
Warwick top is off meta and I have no clue how you are seeing it enough to put it there
Also graves top hasn't been a thing for ages
Camille, irelia, fiora, tahm, trynd
Aatrox, Darius
okay so like, here's my hot take:
moba as a genre are inherently new player unfriendly because of the vast amount of information a player is expected to know and learn right from the start, and ingame tutorials often do not convey enough of this information, and maybe the genre as a whole wouldn't be known as as bad of a toxic cesspool if people were more willing to assist new players in acclimating to gameplay and how things worked, all multiplayer games have some level of toxic players.
Lol so u dont build anti heal against irelia, fiora, trynd, Camille, or tahm?
nice just like mmo's...at least most of my experiences
Ok but the ones I listed are the meta rn
So anti heal is built nearly every game
If not against top, against jg
Very bad variety
Let me check my last games
together with those I have played into and with: Darius, Shyvanna, Sion, Jax, Urgot, Riven, Sett, Akali
believe me or not but from what my friends and saw others online, in my country, most people's first games were usually age of empires or cs 1.6
and the weird picks of jayce and viktor
that's how here we developed a taste for rts
slowly erased by the moba scene though
this reminds me CoH3 will be a thing
and Im not trusting Relic again
shyvana has one n
signed,
resident shyvana liker
idk man
this is like saying that modern FPS killed Quake
(it did)
that but also because one person's mistake can cascade to the whole team.
it is incredibly hard to play if one of your teammate decides to troll the game, or "underperform."
I was always considering to get into another moba to have something to play on an evening whenever but honestly when I think about it I just think how exhausting the first push of getting into it would be.
Honestly mobas by themselves, they can be easy to get and understand on objective wise, and simple rules of things. Like keeping with team, knowing when to back up, when to not go into towers and the whole thing how you should go up against defence towers with minions so you don't get killed. But I think what's the biggest fear for me is that big mobas also feature shops with many items, and that is the only thing that prevents me from getting into it.
at this point it feels like a contest and not a game
the contest is the game?
this is why there needs to be more of a push for assisting new players in properly learning rather than everyone being all "lol dont play league its toxic!" bc literally all that does is contribute to it rofl
not everyone finds understanding objectives and laning and minion waves and everything "easy" to learn
good question. idk. i find it fun when i win
different people can find different things fun
i may be a masochist that enjoys hard games that one shot you but this one's too much
oh yeah for sure took a bit, but I think it's easy to catch up to what to do in the game, the objectives. The hard part is finding flow with said objectives I mentioned, when to do them and how to follow up with them.
thats any team based multiplayer game 😭
95% of the people who climbed him suggest the "hard carry" mentality
basically play super seflish and self centric style
because you need to "hard carry"
well i'm talking about any game in which you are a team vs another team and inevitably end up with some try hard that gets mad and rages at everyone else when they die
cawoduti matches may seem perfect using the gear and team work but they never go like that
they just shot gun kill die
cause i've def had those in other games
yeah but the thing is in say Overwatch there isn't resources to farm
in League there is, I have had my fair share of people taking camps (which belongs to me per unwritten rules) without asking permission
the game where i had the most team work was always and always arma 3
especially with randoms
or vice versa, a jungler taking lane minions and basically hamper their own laners
the extend to which you can scew your team over by your own actions is much higher in league. imagine if Overwatch has friendly fire
action and consenquence in arma 3 and lol have a drastic outcome
let me explain
so in LoL the consenquences usually happen fast and you have to act fast to recover right
reject team game, play fighting games
well in arma when a squad member is downed
since you dont actually die right away
or without mods at least
can I blame bad net codes instead?
or balance?
theres one of those coming up for league LOL
there's a combat lifesaver always in a squad, but when the combat lifesaver is downed and there is no secondary combat life saver
that's where the game shines
helicopter logistics, retreat, etc. etc.
all done by players
maybe is it because increased player count? no idea
yeah im curious about how good the league fg is gonna be
yeah, especially given it's gonna be more online oriented
max was really hype about the tech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkNj5O-cxvY

ok so basically arma flows like this because each player has a specific assigned role
where as in LOL you take the mantle of multiple roles as one
i dont play fighters bc im just inherently awful at them at all times but i like dabbling with them sometimes
isnt every modern fg online oriented what
i was under the impression that most go to tournaments if they want to get good?
hmmm depends on how good the netcode is
if youre into a bad netcode fighter you kinda need offlines
otherwise online is A ok to get good
like under night in birth completly died out since rona hit because that netcode is so bad
i just got assetto corsa and good grief is it a pain to set my steering wheel
never heard of it
you know melty blood?
okay its anime fighters basicially
it's actually the official burenyu bibibi doridoridori funny cat woman game
There's so many anime fighting games I'd like to get into but no time to lol
truth
anyway what they showed off in the lol teaser isnt rly enough for me to have an opinion about it
gotta play it when it comes out
I do want the new inbirth version to come out though
But not even for the game
For the plot and the character design of one npc lol
My good friend does neco-arc edits https://twitter.com/Neco_Ico/status/1173668599376097281
playing fgs for the story damn
I've been waiting to see Kuon without a massive cloak since uniclr released and caught my attention
tbh I dont know uni lore I just played the game a bit
look at this dude though https://in-birth.fandom.com/wiki/Kuon
You can't just give me a piece of the character's design and then hide the rest under a white cloak
m a n
carmine 2
More like
Hyde+Carmine+Whatever character has a black color scheme
literally the only art of him is from flashbacks and concept art from the flashbacks
-Legendary character from the lore
-Some kinda shadow matter growing to his chest
-Black white red scheme
-Looks kinda like the mc

made it half way on ||the dark sun|| (miitopia spoilers) with little use of mp and hp sprinkles!

Should I just refund and save more for Competizione....Hm
i finished sable today, i still have some stuff to collect but other than that i finished basically all quests and the main quest. i think its one of my favorite games now, definitely one of the best ive played this year, and i played a lot of games this year. i recommend it very much if youre wondering what to pick up this sale

I can listen to this for hours
i dont know about patches, and there's dip in performance sometimes. doesn't bother me one bit though
Well just finished the neurtal ending for smt v that was a fun experience now time to play it all again
damn
just finished persona 4 golden
now I have that what's next
?
kind of feeling
did you like marie?
did you do the true ending tho?
You can play the persona q spinoff
And by spinoff I mean that it's canon
👁️
yes
but still got the epilogue
but too scared to play it
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus for the Nintendo 3DS. It is part of the Persona series, itself part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. It was published across all territories in 2014: released in June in Japan, November in North America and Europe, and December in Australia. Atlus published ...
"Despite being a crossover between the two game's casts, the story of Persona Q is considered canon to the Persona timeline according to the developers."

which emu would be best?
Citra like with every etrian odyssey game
which according to persona q, is a series that may also be in the same multiverse
how is this canon chief
i believe persona is set in 1 universe tho
4 and 3 seem to be
Idk about 1 and 2 since atlus rarely recognizes they exist
5 has references to 4 iirc
However
There is a superboss in q that looks a hell of a lot like a certain type of being from etrian odysey 3, a game by the same developers 🤔
Who also says and I quote:
"I beseech thee to visit my world some bright and shining day... Tis a land of odyssey and exploration... In the shade of Yggdrasil, each follows his own path. Battle..."
I tried it until halfway through the first stratum cause I couldn't be bothered
worked fine for me
also conclusion, etrian and persona are in the same multiverse canonically lmao
i will put my faith into you ig
it runs like ass i've tried
the compat also depends on your gear though
some people report that it runs perfect, for others it doesn't even boot
IIRC the Q games are canon in a sense of like
uh spec?
it's a 3DS game
They happened but for one reason or another they don't affect anything, right
bleach fillers?
i've played persona q and it was very fun
They are canon in the sense of "the developers say they are but we don't want to acknowledge it because the cast's memories got wiped"
Same as the dancing games and the fighting games
But the main takeaway is that etrian and persona are confirmed to be in a multiverse 👍
I feel like Strikers is the only one that actually properly continues plot elements?
Maybe? I didn't play it
Just try it for a while to see how it runs in your system
my specs are
cpu: intel i 3 1005g1
gpu: uhd 620
ram: 4 gb
i think so
its on my playlist for a while

4 gb won't work well with citra
maybe if you close literally everything except citra
persona q also plays literally like etrian odyssey, and so does persona 1 kinda
yeah idk if 4gb ram will be enough
I played with around 12 + 4 for my system
i will buy another 4 gigs and retry if it doesn't work
ok
The main theme of Q2 is an absolute certified Banger
the Q1 soundtrack is also fire
The complete version of the main Persona Q theme, Maze of Life.

as a few examples
we can all collectively agree the persona series ost are all bangers
atlus songs are bangers in general
true
still havent played etrian yet
so
i heard a persona 5 port is about to release
is it going to be as bad as the catherine one?
i am just asking for a opinion
the p4 port was actually somewhat decent last year
I also haven't heard about any port though
We can't know, it isn't out nor does anyone know for certain if its actually a thing
And if it isn't released how are we supposed to have an opinion
At that point it's just a guess on whoever they outsource to port the game
alternatively google may be able to give you the answers you seek
also i just purchased monster prom games and a monster prom dlc 🤪
I don’t think p5 port will come any time soon
i was supposed to review the contents of my cart but i'm tired
It wasn’t in nvidia now leak
I have like 4 new games to play and a bullcrap hard game to finish and no time to play them
4 new games! which ones?
Well, I bought blasphemous on sale, got pyre for getting hades during early access to test the game, got dark souls 2 to play, a bunch of hyperdimension neptunia games, beholder and diablo 3 eternal
- nioh and a bunch of other games I got for free in epic
meanwhile I have to finish 100% final fantasy XV, TWEWY NEO (which is what I'm working on right now), get the new terraria achievements, and do the Crosscode dlc
and finish library of ruina
but that game is too frigging hard
So yeah all of that lol
congrats on getting pyre!
It's the only supergiant game I haven't played yet lol
i think i recall seeing some twitter mutuals playing TWEWY this year, but i wasn't sure why
Cause TWEWY is hype and everyone should buy it so Square will shut up about how it didn't sell enough and give us a third game to end a trilogy
Out of all of those I recommend Crosscode and Ruina though
Crosscode is my favorite game of all time and Ruina while ridiculously hard past the second chapter is beyond a w e s o m e and original
lmao
some of these companies come off as out of touch (and some of them really are out of touch! and not in the groovy hall and oates way)
"Hello fellow kids!" intensifies
Surprisingly my favorite developer from the last few years is the guys that made Ruina and they're not out of touch
they're not in touch period

how do you to use citra for roms?
You get 3ds bios and roms, follow an installation guide
I cant tell you how to get these illegally for obvious reasons
ok
but which format should I get CIA,decrypt or incrypted?
decrypted iirc
last I recall encrypted wasnt readable by the emu
which I guess is the point of an encryption lol
.3ds files work the best
imma experiment then
do you guys remember the size of persona q?
bout a gig
I do not but I may be able to find it in my pc lol
1.62 gigs
same for some reason keeping up with all the games on your pc is hard
ive got so many folders I dont remember where my roms for each emulator are at this point
the cia is 1.73 and decrypted is 16.2
same
the only other game i am eager to play is disco elysium
1.8 ish gb for me
should take around 10 minutes for me. i think
this game is like twice the storage space than Etrian Nexus lmao
extraction problems it seems
i will try asking my friends for some troubleshooting
I got 184 strength in STS lmao
The achievement is for 50
But I kept drawing double strength
I had a Corruption and Branch build going
So I would exhaust all skills used
But I would draw another card
And since it also makes all skills free
I just cycle through skills, gaining net energy and massively scaling like in that case
I started the fight with just 1 defend and Demon Form
I could have theoretically done over 1000 damage
Easily
I had pen nib but didn't remember it
I could have upgraded my Heavy Strike
With Armaments. I upgraded another card I thought I would use to just win
Yeah. I think I could have done 1887 damage
14 to 1887 damage
Thats scaling
Corruption + Feel No Pain + Dark Embrace + Dead Branch = click buttons until you win
no thoughts required
Me in Darksiders 3

one of my favorite storytelling in a game
Ok. PC next pretty pls
I think they confirmed it won’t come to PC, but there’s always hope
If not, now there’s a Switch port to emulate
Nice
Medical kit is such an excellent relic
they cost 0
If its 0 and it's free exhausts and getting rid of statuses/bloat yeah thats amazing
yeah
Wow
by the end with powers like Evolve, Feel no Pain and Dark Emabrace
each status is basically a 0 cost, draw 3, block 8, deal 10 damage
it's funny because by the end you want statuses which makes cards like wild strike and reckless charge has 0 draw backs
I once bought a Fire Breathing then immediately got sentinels
Worked out so well
Yeah
oh yeah they basically kill themselves
Immolate does the job too though
What a card
It's just expensive, but it's pretty comparative damage wise, if not higher, than other cost 2s
immolate is really good for act 1 and half of act 2
it doesnt scale very well
like late game double tap + whirlwind is a much better immolate
Fair
I find it does well enough on any group enemies in act 3 as well
Whirlwind is a great card though. It's actually in the screenshot I cant post here
Look at that whirlwind
My deck is massive because of branch
This deck came together super early too
Great 1st relic, better 3rd relic, direct upgrade to starter. Everything else is icing.
yeah, be careful with branch though because you might get stuck with all attacks and no skills
I like sever soul yeah
I just had a decent burning pact run but died
No momentum besides that and like, using it on Wounds or Sentinel
I got Mark of Pain but not enough to capitalize on it
My first win was a Pain deck
And runic cube or whatever its called
Much sloppier. Energy relied on hp trading
This was a branch + corruption run
As soon as I drew Corruption I won. Before then it was kinda maybe.
Would you say max HP is important
To some degree it obviously is
Hard to say what the break points are though. I feel like I really need HP in act 2
i honestly have no idea
Sometimes that area just does so much damage before you're ready for it
Yeah
The run that failed was a cleric face start
Which seems really good
Not only is it 1 more bonus healing after combat, it would long term raise my ehp a lot
hp and healing is solid but never worked as consistently as block or strength scaling for me
True yeah
It's just backup
I had an amazing intangible run on Silent recently for example
By the time it all wrapped up, I was taking no damage and if I did I could heal it off with powers
Even on Awakened One
My powers were mostly poison stuff
poison is the most consistent dmg for silent imo
I also had retain and some upgraded Apparitions so I could actually get the intangibles when I need it
Yeah corpse explosion and some other stuff is just amazing
Specimen, snecko skull
when you get catalyst
For sure. Then you have specimen so it goes to the other enemy
It severely overkilled the 1st one but is gonna really make this one simple
Especially if you have corpse explosion. I still need to get that on donu and deca.
you play sts, too? good taste
one of those days i would pull off a Powerthrough Second Wind combo deck
one of those days
https://imgur.com/a/BGTJAYj uhhh calculated
Finally got a half decent run in with the new route improvements. Still lost a few minutes to non perfect luck on encounters, this could definitely go sub 35 (but not 30, bottoms out around the 33 minute mark with this route). Not interested in grinding that out though, especially when we could just find new skips in the not to distant future.
...
this game is a work of art
I've never played a 3d pokemon game
yeah imagine hitting something with the sniper
the sniper in infinite has a weird hit detection
maybe im too used to csgo's awp
speaking of halo
This is track #10 from the Halo Soundtrack CD
god i loved this mission
replayed it on the anniversary version
One video on my YouTube recommended list shows how the game apparently didn’t re-balance/re-work the game when it implemented diagonal movements
Looks like speedrunner’s heaven
Only one I can recommend is ORAS, and mostly because of nostalgia
But even then, I still had issues with that particular game, mainly on the end-game stuffs
Even then I dont have nostalgia for that gen
I had a used copy of sapphire with a broken in game clock
I have the most nostalgia for crystal
Been playing metroid fusion randomizer for a bit, this is really fun, tho wave beam was changed from giving you all beams to an awful single projectile if you dont have wide beam but otherwise no problem
Also a lot more use of shinespark which is always nice
lmao
i put effort into this thing just so it can fit the conversation and topic
god i love paint.net
longlive the farmers
farming simulator is no joke
I’ve been playing the Ember Knights demo which quite a bit feels like Hades with multiplayer. I think they are making an announcement about early access very soon. Definitely something to check out

I made some skill spreads for Darkest Dungeon II. For potential returning heroes. Anyone want to see them?
post it in the Darkest Dungeon server?
i finally got disco elysium! excited to play it and see what the hype is about... once i finish some other games im currently playing...

dang remnants: from the ashes looks different
personally I loved it, even before the full voice acting patch.
It does a lot of remarkable things with the medium and it makes losing skillchecks an engaging mechanic, but it's a very slow burn of a game. I'd say if day one of your investigation doesn't grab you, then you can skip the rest.
Voice of Cards and Bravely 2 still not in sale :/
Isn’t VoC on Steam as well?
Yes but at a full price
Oof
didn't that like come out very recently, that's not a surprise
yeah, it came out a month ago
i see, ill keep it in mind. i think ill do my best to finish it even if im not immediately grabbed by it, but i hope i am. i got so many glowing recommendations for it from friends and developers i follow on steam recommend it as well, so i have high hopes. i dont particularly mind slow burn games - though i have a hard time finishing games in general sometimes, so i hope i can finish it
halo infinite just became so much more fun when i found out where the grapple usually spawns in BTB maps
Just tested out MHRise on a friend’s Switch, and it’s absolutely not playable at all with the JoyCons, face buttons are too small and too easy to mess up your combos. I guess you could probably change the controls in Settings but even then, the default controls can’t work on those small buttons
Also, Dead Cells announced new DLC incoming next year
Yeah I tried the rise demo and wasnt really impressed
A demo in the tutorial is kinda bad too
Your tutorial has to be really good for that to work
And it wasnt
The mon hun demo's imo have never been particularly good if you're new to the series
oh i'll say. i have tried across multiple games and platforms to sample the series and ultimately just decided the monster designs are infinitely cooler than actually playing the game
i like stories better anyway, would rather collect them than fight them and skin them for parts lol
mon hun tutorial is like riding a bike
except the bike is on fire
everything is on fire
there's a wyvern flying 5 km away from you and somehow kill you cause hitbox
More interesting gameplay options, better visual design, adding stuff that was removed that people liked
I don't care about the fidelity, the armor and weapon designs in World were straight trash
How would you spend 20 € on the steam sale?
Well what kinda games do you like
Action Rpgs, Stardew Valley, Point and klick adventures.
i thought about buying Minecraft dungeons but it is only supposed to be good with the many dlcs
minecraft dungeons is supposed to be baby's first ARPG, did you ever play Titan Quest?
yes, i played Titan Quest, Grim Dawn, Diablo and Torchlight
oh damn
well that's kinda all of the worthwhile arpg's to me tbh
there's warhammer 40k inquisitor martyr but it's kinda slower
Dark souls 2 SotFS is 20€
i love Grim Dawn right now but it is weird i can't play it for too long because maybe how is it called "sensory overload"
blasphemous is 7€
too much stuff going on the screen?
i have crosscode and dead cells
tbh i am too bad of a player for "souls like games"
yes @ocean iris i didn't have that problem with titan quest
do you have dungeon siege?
As if dark souls was hard lmao
Bloodstained may be for you
no i have to look it up but the warhammer game looks interesting
Ritual of the night maybe
Dunno about CoTM though
yeah it's slower paced and if you like warhammer it's even better
The one with modern graphics
Ritual
right besides dungeon siege there's also magicka 1 and 2
magicka is so fun with a friend
bloodstained is 16 bucks right now
Suggesting just in case you don't have it, hollow knight
Darksiders genesis was also pretty fun to play through
my arpg recommandation are warhammer 40k inquisitor martyr, magicka 1 and 2, dungeon siege 1 and 2, and, halo spartan assault/strike even tho those are more of top down shooters but they are pretty fun
Ashen has interesting graphics/artstyle
It's basically the exact opposite thematically to Dark Souls
It's a world of hope where darkness has just being defeated and humanity finally can rebuild from the apocalypse
You see how the central hub gets filled with people and houses start being build
And end with a small village where nothing stood there
Maybe look into the middle earth series if you are into the universe or the gameplay style, it's pretty cheap for both games right now (or you can just get the second one which is the good one)
Also god eater 3 if you are a weeb like me
Oh and people say risk of rain 2 is amazing but I've yet to touch it even though it's been in my library for months
Code Vein if you don't mind the fanservice
I don't remember fanservice in code vein 🤔
There's not a single scene there though
I only ever entered once to check what the door was lol
I'm just warning just in case it's easily ignorable after all
Tbh I was too busy speedrunning half the game in my first playthrough because of that one ability that put you on a timer being so broken
Death's Door graphic looks amazing!
Well you just got like 30 different recommendations good luck lol
lol yeah sorry for not replying to everyone
And cause I'm away from the computer to fire them up
Tbh we are in the release slump
alternatively just doenload the code vein demo and create the ultimate anime goblin child in the surprisingly robust character creator
I'm in the 'Clear the backlog until Elder Ring' mode
