The effort you need to get good at that game for what you end up doing

Its basically a menu management game that feels like a soulslike a decade before Demon's Souls

And you play by hitting combos with decreasing hit frames per combo

Talking about StS, I don’t do ascensions but even when not on ascension, I only managed to beat the heart with a shiv build once, with a lucky torii (>5 gets reduced to 1)

It can work, just that like with other stuff you have to be immersed. By it being like a thing on your app and maybe sending notifications.

In theory it can work but there is definitely limit to what can be done for it somewhat. I mean you can have horror even on your console in comfort sitting on your couch and what not. Console of course got the luxury of big screen but still.

It mostly goes down to creativity. Immersion is almost always possible just need to come up with something.

Like say the game app needing you to tune in ear buds so later on it can fake a knocking outside your door.
