-dogs are bad but not horrible.
-basilisks have the worst consequences if they get you, but caution tends to stop you getting killed.
-mosquitos are a pain but with good management aren't more than annoying.
-mimics can be stopped with items, and both have tells and are usually covered in player signs telling you its a mimic.
-the poison snipers are horrible but don't respawn.

I kinda liked it. New approach to the whole Coop zombie shooter. Sure it has it's questionable things, the AI is dumb as mud and some difficulty spikes left me dead in the earth, but inherently bad? Nah. At least not in my opinion.

and the biggest sin of them all, no shove mechanic, only a one enemy knife animation. The shove was very useful as it pushed away multiple zombies and even let you continue the reload while doing it. Also ADS and sprint but that's just me being biased but man hitmarkers? And the gore is just laughable, it only has dismemberment but not the guts and blood and bones of L4D2.

Damage done to a normal zombie is also depending on the gun calliber, although not realistic it's a great touch. It's visual feedback. And it's also pretty damn good. I have to get some screenshots to show what Im talking about.

Also another small thing, the cloth on the molotov doesnt move in B4B. And guess what it does in L4D2.

I see what you mean, but it also wasn't the point to reinvent the whole genre.
I kinda liked the weapon upgrades. In L4D2 you only had Laser Sights and that was it. Always the same three or four guns, which was kinda boring after a time. I think the cloth and the gore are kinda nitpicks. That's up for personal taste. I think not being able to push and then reload kinda makes the game harder and I have nothing against it.

What really anoys me with L4D2 and B4B is that they both have only like 4 campaigns and a couple of levels. For a game that builds on replay, it is really essential to have a few more areas to explore. B4B is doing the same as L4D2 and only making a few levels. Battlefront 2 turned out good eventually but it's too late. Squadrons was quite nice but only a niche of people owning certain controls can enjoy it fully. Fallen Order was just great but I despised the game performance.

the sc2 community is still very active, same for their moba, Heroes of the storm. They are doing great competitions without blizzard supporting them. I were Grandmaster in Heroes several times, before they axed the pro scene and fired hundreds of people without any warning. I mean let's see it from a neutral standpoint. Every bigger games company has at least a few skeletons in their closet. We cannot really say "Yeah these are innocent." It's just different shades of disgusting when a couple million dollars a month are hanging on it, but there is also not much customers can do when corporate greed is involved apart from protests and boycotts, but if not everybody is in the same boat, these companies will just continue to do what they do. I mean hell, EA even said closing studios after running them into the ground is their business model.

I couldn‘t believe the mobile sector is making the most money of all videogames. But in the end, that odyssee led me to hades somehow and SGG welcomed me with 2 more lovely games. combat is fun but it gets repetitive eventually, camera angle is honestly straight up garbage so we don't talk about that, enemy level is a bit inflated (or maybe i'm just underleveled? or maybe that's to sell lootbox when it first came out??? maybe i'm too skeptical here)

but the worst offender is the control, oh boy. in the game the B button is used for reviving teammates, "stunlock" enemies, and sometimes interact with mission objective. That's right, one button for 3 different functions in combat with no way to specify which one you want. many many times I die or lose a mission because instead of reviving my teammate right next to me, it decides to stunlock an enemy instead, and touching the mission objective in the sea of enemy is a feat in and of itself. seriously, who thought this is ok. unless I'm missing something major, whoever designs this have poprock for brain triumph

the game is OK, but a step down from Shadow of Mordor imo. /rantover
