I just started Shadow of the Tomb Raider (only 90 minutes in) and gotta say I'm not impressed. I played the previous ones, and I really like TR, then about RotTR I had similar thoughts to yours, it's just mediocre, and now Shadow feels like it's gonna be the worst of the three, but I'm still giving it a chance to see how it goes.

can anyone plz describe the difference between disgaea and other tactical rpgs? i know that there is a stat grind feature, a large roster, and combo attacks but what is the basic premise of disgaea games?

over the top humour and dealing damage that equals a lot of numbers. there's not really much to say besides that because those are the primary things the disgaea series is known for, besides its distinct art style. your main characters are often demons or deal closely with demons, and much of the conflict is between realms and the demon overlords that rule them, and you eventually taking over those realms yourself.

the stat grind lmao. depends on how far "endgame" you want to go, because each game usually has some kind of obscene super powerful optional boss

Are there randomly generated levels or is it running the same thing over again?

the grind is usually diving into item world to increase the stats of your gear, and continually rebirthing characters when they hit max lv to stat boost them

uh stuff like item world are random

there's other randomized dungeons you can dive in depending on which disgaea it is but item world is largely the same in all of them iirc

and honestly some of this stuff you can start working on like pretty early in the game

Disgaea can get very ridiculous

The max level cap used to be up to 9999, then D6 has you go up to 9million

I love Pre-Sequel as well.

Got it for free when I bought a new GPU in 2014 and I instantly loved it. The DLCs was really good.

Didn't like BL2 as much, as there were no character-specific dialogue as there is in BL2

I honestly wish Borderlands 3 attempts at humour could be ignored as easily as in previous titles, since honestly it for sure perfected the gameplay aspect of the series.

Otherwise yeah Pre-sequel is the best to play through.
