Sure, each campaign is much shorter to 5 hours. But does this mean that you are stuck with the same party of 4 for 5 whole hours? That's a bit torturous ngl.
Besides, people don't tackle each campaign in one go. They pick a scenario which lasts at max an hour in DD1, which to me, is a "run." Are the devs misinterpreting player's feedback or am I completely off the mark here?

Most of the reason why I never finished dd1 is because after a while it felt like I just had to role the dice on if someone dies that encounter and I didn’t like that at all, so having it be more set I def like. Now the artstyle I’m more impartial on. The jump to 3D looks sick but just some of the classes look strange like highwayman while jester and grave robber look better. Outside of that I’m looking forward to it and I’m probably gonna play it
