which takes place in a nice, sunny neighbourhood where there's a couple there living under the witness protection program or something
and you have to take them both out and get the necklace the lady is wearing

anyway - there's a pool there, and it's under a... glass roof
so all you have to do is change clothes, sneak in, wait for her to go under that roof, throw a single coin at the glass part and let those glass shards do the work for you

yeah the voice acting in SC3 is... a mixed bag
the main crew is great PES_Ok
michael ironside is killing it - as always

but folks that played all those guards had to pull double duty - for both languages
and they were still doing this "goofy security guard talking about some dumb stuff" shtick so some of the accents are a bit...
awkward

but still - i admire the effort

As long as it doesn't involve predatory way of getting people to buy it say through randomization and what not, I say it should be ok enough if it is to upkeep the development and servers. But if it is done in sense to influence gameplay or done in a way that the consumer can't just buy the thing they want, then yeah pretty lame.

ok - let me put it this way
there's loads of new really fun guns for all 10 perks out there
lots of different maps - some even have * cough * some randomisation to them (which would make foxhope happy),
there are 4 seasonal events each year, with seasonal objectives and seasonal modes, weekly challenges which always add a weird twist to the gameplay and daily objectives for your vault dosh
what's a vault dosh? a separate, pernament point system that lets you circumvent that cosmetics system and get A LOT of cool new stuff faster and for free
which is like... the devs trying to back out of paid cosmetics, which is nice PES_Okay

then there's the survival game mode where patty himself is your shop trader PES_Lul , 5 bosses (patty, matty, hans, king fleshpound and chonky boi)
lots and lots of new music aaaaaaaaaaaand some other stuff i probably missed

yeah this is why i'm fine with how it is in kf2
because it's way cheaper to just... sell your useless steam cards and get the stuff you actually want from the steam market
and it's dirt cheap - haven't spent a single dollar on it - just traded my old useless steam garbo

two years ago they introduced a new one - quarterpounders
which are like... small, useless fleshpounds

for a moment there i thought they were only for the king fleshpound bossfight as a backup and for some weekly challenges but nah - they crammed them into the general rotation

they're not... hard
they're not challenging
they're just annoying

#

cause they make the same sounds as normal fleshpounds - that loud roar when they spawn - so you get ready, stop fighting the fodder, get your biggest, most expensive gun ready only to see...

#

that tiny, 4 feet tall dingus running around the corner, looking angry and nothing more
and then he dies to a single rocket

#

PES2_Wot nah mate - get that thing out of my game and bring the big boys back
they're still there, mind you - it's just a 50-50 chance of either getting them or the cheap off market knockoff

and then...
they introduced robots
yeah - 🤖 - now those things are proper annoying and spongy as hell

i mean - i don't mind the concept - in the lore the horzine company always tried to combine their bio-whatever experiments with some machinery
you've got scrakes, fleshpounds, husks, hell - even patty is like... 50% metal at this point

they just look so... clean
where's the rust? where's the grime? where's the texture?

and they look modern and some of then can fly and some of them do backflips like... naaah, mate - nah pepeWot

oh well - at least their boss is really fun to fight

and hey - look at the bright side - at least you weren't there to suffer through the travesty that was the resistance system update pepeLUL2

it was - hands down - the funniest 2 weeks of KF2
unintentionally, of course

it was so broken - crawlers shrugged off point blank double barrels like it was nothing, firebugs couldn't kill anything while taking 10 times more damage from as much as... a slightly warmer gust of wind. It was common to see firebugs flying out the windows at the speed of sound while being surrounded by flames from doing... anything, really

#

and sirens were so broken that their damage grew exponentially the more of them was there in your zip code.
so three sirens could take your health down from over a 100 to LITERALLY NEGATIVE NUMBERS in a span of less than second

oh the gameplay is a bit different
there are 10 different "classes" called "perks" here
which gain experience and unlock skills

#

and it's got waves and between each wave you get a short break to heal up, stock up on some new guns and all that good stuff

#

and by the end of it you get to fight one of the fight bosses

#

it's not like one, hour long campaign where you go from point A to point B

#

you cover less terrain in a span of one "match" (which should take about an hour), but there's more tactics and more to do in that smaller space, if that makes sense

#

there is way more content in here and more replay value

oh there's loads of different maps there
big, small, complex, simple

#

sunny maps, snowy maps, maps that throw you into a bunch of tiny rooms in a random order every time

#

and they're quite interactive too - there's a lot of props and windows and doors and other garbage to destroy - including 90% of light sources
so if one of your friends decides to play a demolition expert and accidentally blows up all the lights
tough luck - you're going in blind

#

pro tip - burning paris, outpost and that russian prison map (i always forget it's name) are really friendly for beginners

#

and - here's the best part - you can paint each and every single one of those maps red with blood and gore down to every single pixel
and the game won't lag at all PES_Okay

a "support" perk in this one uses mostly shotguns

i mean - sure - a support can use other weapons, but it's best with shotguns
you don't need good accuracy when you have this much pellet spread

#

there's the firebug - just sets everything on fire with flamethrowers and molotovs
there's the demolition expert... who just needs to hit the ground in the same zip code as the target to deal splash damage

#

or hell - they could as well just pick up the swat class, level up a bit to get bigger magazine and just go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and bullet hose everything to death

but since the hitbox for that is literally in the middle of your character model

oh leveling is actually quite smart

#

so - you have 10 perks, right?
10 different "classes" you have to level up
you can only play one at a time (obviously), but you level up all of them as the same time

#

as in - let's say you're playing the commando class first but end up healing your mates a lot and decide that... eh - commando isn't really your thing and you'd rather switch to a dedicated medic

#

well good news - all that healing gave you XP that already went towards your medic class so when you switch to it you're already gonna have some xp in it and it's gonna be easier to level up

#

let's say your playing the support - the shotgun guy - and end up just blowing stuff up - when that happens, your demolition expert gets some XP too

#

there's 25 levels to a perk, you get small, flat bonuses to DMG and health and what not every level, but then every 5th level you can pick up one of two skills
and if you think you picked a wrong one - don't worry - you can always switch those skills between waves

#

it's a really neat little system that encourages you to try different things while you're learning the game PES_Okay
