not entirety
i haven't said that
see you just cant accept its a main part of the game as well
what
you said because you can technically speedrun the game without killing anything, therefore combat is unnecessary
i haven't said any of those things
nothing about speedruns
nothing about killing anyone (though you can still do that)
and i didn't say that combat is unnecessary
my point is that yes - combat is still a part of those games
a part - singular
it's not the main thing nor should it be
literally 7/ 13 of fnv skills is combat based
because ultimately fallout is and should be an RPG
a genre that's focused on players choice
so if i choose to do something a certain way - i should have the ability to learn skills and get perks and what not to solve a problem that way
oh lets ignore all these, who cares about combat anyways amirite
because apparently all rpgs must be strictly talking and nothing else
you know what
i'm done repeating myself
there's no getting to you
what's the point
i just hope someone else comes here and reads all of this because it's downright hilarious
because you cant accept its always been a hybrid
not just an rpg
you just have too rigid of a thingking to see the big picture
i said that the combat is a part of those games like three times already
christ almighty
Alright, I'm going to request a topic change to basically anything else at this point, people
if you ask me, i'd put FO4 in settlement sim category
yes i realise i'm rather late but we're not reviving this topic, alright, the next conversation should be Something Else
does that count?
i'll allow it lmao
tbh, all the hints of possible time travel from P2 always made me curious
did my smooth bren grow some wrinkles
yeah
i mean - hell - wheatley even mentions the three portal device himself
in one, super obscure dialogue line
hopefully will feel the same, there are not much games that made me feel like new neurons are growing in my head as i'm playing
same
first being P1 and Fez
like - i played a lot of portal back in the day
including mods for p1 and p2 (especially after valve released that level editor)
and i found out that most maps and mods fall into one of two categories
there were several pretty complicated ones
either 1 - big, epic journeys with convoluted maps, new bossfights and epic music and what not
or 2 - just... big maps
with a lot of jumppads
portal reloaded does neither of those
all puzzles seem... simple
they don't have many steps
and most of them are literally just one, medium sized room
God the wait for Nier is killing me :/
Have you played this one?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/317400/Portal_Stories_Mel/?l=spanish
Portal Stories: Mel is a community made, free modification for Portal 2 based in the Portal universe. It tells the story of Mel, who meets a new personality core and faces an undiscovered threat to the Aperture facility. 1952, in the early years of Aperture: Science Innovators, Cave Johnson’s scientists experimented with whatever they wanted. No...

Quite good mod
oh i heard about it a while back
haven't played it yet
My fav one
does it have any new mechanics?
Yes
yeah, that as well
also i remember Portal: Prelude for 1st one
was quite hard sometimes
yeyeye - that's the one
gosh.. there was a whole fanbase
yeah
memes, fan cartoons
let's not refer back to it after a mod has just said move on
kk
ty
Ok I haven't played since the mod came out but I remember puzzles about pushing buttons in quick succession and barriers only you can cross but that act as solid ground/wall for everything else

the latter sounds just like a regular 'ole forcefield
as in - you can go through them but can't carry stuff
but if it doesn't get destroyed.. there can be some new mechanics
something between that field and solid light paths
yeah i get it
but then again - when a cube touches a forcefield and it fizzles you can always go back and pick up a new one
since you can't really softlock yourself in normal portal 2 puzzles
so all you lose there is time
i dunno - i'd have to see it before i judge it
well, there are always many ways to reload the chamber in case of failure in good maps
yeah
you know what i would like to see?
a mapset that changes one, basic rule and then builds it's puzzles around that
kinda like reloaded adds that time portal
like...
imagine a portal mod where you can't shoot portals - instead they're real, physical things you actually have to pick up and carry
you could make some cool puzzles around that - like a room where you can't carry them everywhere with you so you'd have to - let's say - throw one of those portals somewhere high and then make your way up there
or a mod where portals are linked together in a way that prevents you from shooting them really far away
Also iiirc more goo types
so like - they have to be 30 meters apart or less
guess, 10 years later it's possible to create moving portals now
so you'd be forced to be really efficient with your puzzle solving skills and all the maps would have to be tight
moving portals were possible in vanilla portal 2
hell - i've seen some mods for portal 1 that allowed you to do that
oooooh that bit bugged the hell out of me back in 2011
like - valve tripped hard there and they broke one of the most basic rules they established in portal 1
as in - portals cannot be on moving surfaces
and then they broke that and made you shoot portals on moving surfaces in literally one tiny puzzle in portal 2 and then never brought that back again
come on, guys
oh - here's another one
how about a portal mod that gives you two pairs of portals
one, normal, human-sized pair of portals
and one pair of small portals
and the player can go only through normal portals
but cubes and lasers and such can only go through those small portals
you could make some cool puzzles with that
also, how about shrinking and expanding devices/portals?
like, stuff going through them would change the size
yeah - that too
duke3d called - i'd like it's shrinkers back
but yeah - that's my point
there's so many cool puzzle mechanics you can cram into a portal mod
Cannot believe Endless Legend and ES2 are getting even more content
Endless Legend is like my favourite 4x ever
yeah same, insane they get such amount of post stuff
also playing ES2 rn
got my first actual legit win
as unfallen by peacefully overtaking a lot of systems.
oh ops
took over someone's academy
have you seen the new trailer for nier replicant ver 123087502384758093150-91384509-183450983450982340598345alskdja?
Nope. And I don't want to
why not?
Wanna go as blind as possible :p
Is replicant a sequel to automata?
so a se-prequel?
the midquel
It's a remake of the original Nier
The og Nier is set literally hundreds of years before
I can't find a single source that's saying that
hmm..
"Nier: Automata shares the post-apocalyptic setting of Nier, taking place thousands of years after the game's fourth ending."
I may be confused on what's being said, if so that's on me
and by the wiki on nier, replicant is set a bit later then the og
I thought Albino meant that Replicant takes place hundreds of years before og Nier
"The game opens with a prologue during the summer of 2049 ||(2053 in Nier Replicant)||"
"The game then cuts to 1,312 years later ||(1412 years in Nier Replicant)||"
either way the og is earlier?
It is. Nier:A is set much later than Nier:replicant/gestalt
Like, all I'm seeing is that it refers to either Replicant or Gestalt
Replicant 1.22 is the same timeframe as original replicant and gestalt
OG Replicant was the Jp version, while the rest of the world got gestalt
Also why the protags are different (father Nier vs. Brother Nier)
Confusing? Yes, but that's Yoko Taro for ya
Yeah, Nier is definitely a Square Enix game given how people debate about the genealogy of the lore lol
Yes
It's just me trying to clarify something without spoilering
Also Nier is a seuqel to Drakengard's 'joke' ending
Did you play the original Nier @wraith cradle ?
A friend lend it to me back in the day
VERY back in the day
I only managed to reach the first ending so I'm excited after all this years
It's been a long time coming XD
So many scenes I wanna see in HD
If I can stop listening to Popolas music for just a minute and get to actually playing through the story XD
I wonder if they explained better the infamous fishing segment
Finished Ever Forward. Quite cute game with pretty graphics
Bit short, tho
does anyone know a good and recent side scrolling beat em up game?
not really into the genre, but streets of rage 4(?)
Scott Pilgrim isn't recent but it just got a rerelease
fight'n'rage is oke
ill check them out thanks
Free game
I'd get it but I already have Pack 7
it's free c'mon man
plus it has different questions so if you're getting repeats just switch over to the og
own it and download it when you need it
IT'S FREE
omg thank u for letting us know!!
No problem
played nier replicant on pc for 4 hours with no technical problems, but I’m sad to see it’s got mixed reviews on steam right now. Hopefully a patch is coming
Kinda wish the demo wasn't timed or only availible for a short period though
The short period I was expecting
As the game is two weeks away
And the timed play has been a thing with the last 2 REs
curse of the dead gods. does anyone know anything about this game?
ahh i do actually
i got it and it actually had a major update like 9 days ago
a dead cells crossover lol
but its pretty fun. slower than hades and i think requires more skill but is more grindy
i never beat it and im not gonna since it just got boring
but if youre looking for a roguelike to sink time into i reccommend it, they do some cool things with systems
also
im cursing you all with this too
oh god
...
why
youre welcome
i won't join it as i haven't played the game. thank you for letting me know though
man I went down the Mother 3 rabbit hole again
The best one
It's quite funny playing Dynasty Warriors and Total War Three Kingdoms back to back
And seeing non-entities on one game becoming central characters in the other
This is specially notable with Wu
In Dynasty Warriors the spotlight goes: Sun Quan>Sun Ren>Sun Ce>Sun Jian
While in Total War is Sun Ce>Sun Jian>Sun Ren>Sun Quan
smashes in here i heard dynasty warriors https://gyazo.com/c970815744900ba08c5b38d45b4172db
my cousins were super in to dynasty warriors back in the day
that was when controller rumble was still novel
they swooned over that feature lol
I once threatened to ruin my oldest brother's last semester at college with a PS2 and several Dynasty Warriors games.
i unfortunately am just a musou liker https://gyazo.com/9dca9014c3310e67fc9e773f1a614eb2
plus whatever console stuff i have laying around since i havent played a console in a hot minute lol
which also includes sengoku basara, since we only got... the third game localized lol
you missed an exclamation point
not really bc ive been koei long enough i know what it all means, but i would say its pretty offputting for series newcomers trying to figure out what game to pick up bc theres like... dw8 xl complete edition which only means its the base and expansion together, and dw7 xl definitive edition which is base + expansion + all dlc, that kind of thing is really dumb and i hate it
also theres dw8 definitive on switch. with all the dlc. the steam version is not that lol.
I am just trying to survive until the end of my finals
and qualifying exams
and then im going on a video binge for the rest of the summer
god i wanted to fenyx today and didnt, sad kazoo noises
time to load up some XTREMEM EDTIONS DEFINITIVE EXPERIENCE hack n slash
it's a friday night
i don't see why can't you?
uhhh bc depression slump moods that make it hard for me to pick up games in general lol just kinda every so often and last for varying periods of time and this one has been a few months already so im not able to stick with any games atm. i try
madcar has been trying to pull me into wild rift matches for like four days lol
i have a lot of stuff i wanna play rn, its just finding the mood and energy to do so. looks longingly at octopath
c'est la vie
did get some funny multiplayer with friends in 100% orange juice the other night at least
it makes me so mad sometimes lol
it is, screw the robot ball one
hate that guy
oh I usually play co op with friends
made the mistake of seeing what the cpu would do in co-op, sighed in exasperation as i was up against chicken boss with 4 chickies on the board and cpu kept passing them with no engagement. awful
100% orange juice? Is it a jackbox type game
one time, my friend played a free char with "if died in battle, revive next turn" as passive
he's our healer
more like anime mario party but instead of minigames you have a battle card system
Humble launched over a decade ago with a bundle that featured the ability to pay-what-you-want and support charities. Today we’re sharing some updates coming to bundle pages and how they will help us continue to support charity. https://t.co/0sXM6dT0V0
240
bro the heck
ok wow that sucks
you could donate most of the money to charity before this
but now it mostly goes to IGN
😶
TIL 100% orange juice is an actual thing and not some discord server's inside joke
(they have a role for it lol)
yes lol it goes on sale for under 2 bucks pretty often
also re: humble they cap donations at 15%?????? oh my god
this is so tremendously embarrassing
yeah like
hello???
at least try to hide being scummy about it
but nah let's cap as low as possible and go through it
this will bite them in the ass, no one likes this change lmao
hope it's worth it, humble
isnt that worse
damn
going through some stuff regarding Ikaruga (who remembers that gem)
and i remember/find out that gamespot's original review for the game was by Greg of all people
the score i would've given a bit higher but honestly the meat of the review reminds me why he was always my favourite gamespot staff member
he had insight and a way with words
im bad at ikaruga but it's been a long time fav bc i really like the environment and music in the game
absolutely phenomenal game in those regards and it's mindblowing that hirochi iuchi not only directed the game
but also did the entire OST himself
and this was his second time ever doing music for a game too
nice
i have a 1/144 scale model of ginkei somewhere, gave me a bit of grief with really tiny pieces but really fun to put together
i never got to paint it but it's very nice in person https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/492400703400534149/E738E2384ECA8BB67EAEBA324A7D13160767B9DB/
saw it at a local shop one year and was like ikaruga kits???? i need that in my life
oh that is amazing
even OOB it's not half bad
i heard the ikaruga kit itself is actually harder
compared to ginkei

i suppose i'm not too surprised
they're different ships, even if very similar
so some differences could've arisen in build
depends on how many absurdly tiny pieces it has, that was the main thing that stalled me with ginkei. the rest snapped together fine
that's good to know
last thing i'd want to hear about is a kit this extravagant having bad pieces
hm i see a place still selling them for 4400 yen, that's not bad for as old as they are. maybe one day i'll pick it up
this may be straying convo a bit lmao but anyway ikaruga cool game. i never played the original release but had it on gamecube and picked it up on steam when it dropped there
nah it's still on topic enough
i forgot when my first time playing the game was though... weirdly enough
but i definitely picked up on steam when i could
people that can play through the entire 5 chapters thru just bullet eater, you are too powerful. i gotta shoot, i get nervous 😔

hmm... "62 games from your wish list are on sale right now" - Nintendo

Maybe I should have a look in my wishlist again
Have you guys heard of this small underrated hidden game called Hades?
Funny how the tides have turned.
not aware of it!
I hate it
hey have any of y'all ever played Children of Morta? it's on sale right now and from what i can tell it seems kinda similar to hades (aka narrative-focused roguelite with progression elements)
hades is the only roguelite i've ever played but i'm wondering if i should try this game out
The ludonarracon sale just fired up my wishlist lmao
aha i just searched for children of morta in this server and i see people have talked about it before lol
i think i'm gonna buy it
yeah it's pretty cool game!
There is a bundle with that game and a bunch more just so you know
yeah I saw that! I already have moonlighter though and I’m not super interested in the other ones tbh so I just got children of morta
:/
Gonna finally finish the RE7 dlc as prep work for Village
Nice

As for me i mostly been playing everspace, hades, dragon quest 11 definitive edition and stardew valley
Have you played Cosmic Star Heroine? Same devs, it's a pretty nice rpg imo
No, I just want the Cthulhu game cuz the images look real funny
well there you go a rec from me
looks fine to me
I also wanna buy the game now since it’s part of the switch sale
how many games do you have on your backlog?
Please don’t make me count
lmao
I’m not the kind to finish games
I play until I get bored then switch to another
Maybe I’ll revisit at some point

Hmm, I guess I do finish some games just to have fun w new game+
Or if the story is compelling enough
I do believe I finished tomb raider 2013
And I know I finished bioshock & bioshock 2
Short answer is a few hundred I think?
Since I don’t wanna count
yeah that's fair, im in the a few dozens area, i blame game bundles
BIoshock 1
Andrew Ryan
||would you kindly||
I wish we can sell our steam backlog
you can refund but that ain't teh same
Refund have time limit
i think steam says that to scare ya
i swear i refunded a 3 year old game i played for 45 minutes
erm the time limit is 2 hours
and afaik, 45 minutes < 2 hours.
though tbf, im pretty sure if you contact support and don't have like 20 hours in a game, probably you can wiggle your way to a refund
im fairly sure the big retailers have a rating of their customers, similar to how banks have credit score.
you can return most things to amazon if your account is in good standings
but if you abuse it your refunds probably won't go through
that might be it but i've only refunded like 2 games
Nah i tried
its highly dependant on the game and what your reasoning for refund is. a lot of times they will actually just auto deny you if you're over the 2hr/2 week limit
and if you refund a lot lol, that too.
i think ive only refunded like one? game in the 9 years ive had my account
Unless you're in Australia where we have consumer laws in place specifically so products can be refunded if its faulty or doesn't match the description of the thing
The timer is way more generous than you may think in my experience at least. The refund mostly depends if you give fair enough explanation for it too.
Well it depends I mostly don't refund games nowadays
I mostly buy games if I find the gameplay video to be fun to play , read the review, check the system requiem, gb size and if the game have mouse support.
But I would suggest that you don't use too much refund on steam.
what are you, steam employee?
Hmm I don't like horror games
That the gameplay is just walking and hide from the enemies

You probably play em for the wrong reasons
like if the horror game has a really good foreboding atmosphere and stuff, you know it gonna be good
In alien isolation there is also combat and the use of gadgets tho
You only really play it for the scary aliens
its a learning ai, u cant use the same strategy every time you die
the only good xenomorphs is a xenomorph dead in space
what
That’s a bit extreme..
Also, don’t avoid the filter
the aliens thingy
I don’t remember dialogue from that
I only pay attention when the xenomorphs are on screen
the mech scene bro cmon
I don’t care about that scene tho

It’s been maybe 6-8 years since I last saw that movie now I think about it
hey there, as a reminder, swears are not allowed in this server. if you need to censor it to get it past the bot, refrain from using it at all, thanks!
Yes, Inquisitor, this comment right here.
God the REVIII demo is incredible
Now I'm hyped even more
There is a moment I scared myself accidentally :p
Like 30 min tho
Also the limited time availible thing
I would have less issue with the demo being timed (still a scummy move on capcom's part) if the demo were availible for more than a super small amount of time
Aren't demos being available until release a common thing?
ive never heard of that tbh
I'd have thought so
The RE8 demo isn't even availible for that long Albino
And nah, not a common thing at all
most games that have demos dont arbitrarily remove those demos once the game fully releases
thats just bizarre to remove the demo
coughs pt coughs
I never got demo discs so never knew what it felt
Pt is also a very differant thing
The game associated with the Teaser ceased development and Konami is spiteful
Konami have yet to make something lately
They made an incredibly dreadful contra game and the metal gear survive thing no one speaks of
because theyre both god awful
"no one speaks of" they spoke alright, just not a good thing
no one talked about the game once it came out and everyone dunked on it for how bad it was lol
and thats for the best. leave it behind, its not worth remembering
The contra game got like 10 player all time peak at launch iirc, thats how bad it is
TIL Konami made another Contra
...Of course there's an Aloy skin in Fortnite.
Fun split screen games?
enter the gungeon
HZD is now a Fornite reference.
Blood and darkness.
Lol no strategy turn based
erm turn based multiplayer is really hard to come by
Great
Divinity 2 is about your only option
Oh and Civ 5, duh
Spelunky is another good coop game
Halo
Spelunky 2, specifically, it's a coop roguelite platformer.
To be honest. If the game is cancelled the Demo becomes literally pointless
Some good games here for those interested
Fun Fact:
Biomutant has surpassed on wishlists to Silksong. Either the hype for the former has exploded or people has lost hope on the latter
Still, pt is a pretty good short game on its own
It's so good, people are still selling PS4 with PT on ebay
Was so interesting people are remaking it in different ways and looks. Although honestly I wish there were less 1:1 recreations, since like I have seen too many square hallways over and over with bathroom to the side.
the premise is interesting, just lacks variety of spinning such premise
I'm genuinely curious if that was gonna be a short sequence, a showcase of what the game was gonna be (As in that part doesn't appear in the full game) or the full game was gonna be like that
Go back in time over 2,000 years and follow the same path as Jesus Christ, from his baptism to the resurrection. Inspired by the New Testament stories, ‘I Am Jesus Christ’ is a simulation like no other. Are you prepared to fight with Satan in the desert, cure the sick and help the needy? Perform over 30 iconic miracles from the feeding of the 5,0...
2021
I AM SO HYPE FOR THIS RELEASE IN 2021!!!
this will be the Knack 2 of Steam
I can't believe they spoil the ending in the trailer
yeah I was gonna read that book screw them for spoiling
it's only covering chapter 3 of the manga you can read the others without being spoiled
I heard the prequel is kinda dark though
oh that's good
the Jesus Christ arc is more wholesome.
yeah the Prequels are dark as hyuck
kinda like Star Wars in that way
have y'all seen the jesus anime this isn't a joke btw
I can't believe they are adapting this popular franchise into video game finally
uh, no
no, I haven't
i'll dm you
yeah finally it's only been [REDACTED] years
literally since the beginning of history
should should I... add it to my wishlist?
to know when it comes out?
what is the gameplay>
you should wishlist karlson
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
I understand this might’ve been a joke, but there is an actual manga about Jesus
oh god
the gameplay is
doing
things...
curing blind people
look at the trailer
oh hell yeah dude picking that one up soon
it has a trailer, and the graphics looks... fine tbh
I have the manga for fun
yeah this trailer shows no gameplay
it looks like a frickin' mobile game ad
Are you prepared to fight with Satan in the desert, cure the sick and help the needy? Perform over 30 iconic miracles from the feeding of the 5,000 and healing lepers to the calming of the sea and giving sight to the blind.
Description
lvl. 1: sinner lvl. 20: angel lvl. 100: JESUS CHRIST
you know i can't read
but I thought Jesus was a pacifist
Gerry, you can fight Satan, Gerry, hear that, Satan himself.
though if you want to fight Satan just play Isaac lmao
Or Doom
oh man
you guys wanna hear an unpopular opinion from me
or just about any game with hell xD
of course
oh boi
I don't get Binding of Isaac
gasp
straight up
I don't see what everyone likes about it
haven't played it
i can't belive they're making a jesus simulator
It’s just fun?
now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go proofread my will
It’s a fun roguelike
yeah that's the problem
I don't see that
It grew on me. I initially hated it, just beat Mom (the "final" boss) for sake of completion.
I find the combos I can do fun
maybe because I don't really like RogueLIKES
I love getting guppy
But then one day, I just wanted to play it, out of nowhere.
And then it happened again, and again.
to me it just feels like I'm throwing myself at a brick wall over and over again until I finally beat it
kinda like Oregon Trail
And it’s fun uncovering new secrets
It's hard to describe. I miss Isaac when I don't play it for a while.
The gameplay eventually becomes zen.
Yup
It's funny to describe the game as relaxing but it is, after a certain threshold.
Once you learn the basic patterns it’s easy
also might have something to do with the visual style, I admire it but it's just kinda too...
disgusting?
I get that's the point and I respect it for that but I can't dig it
:(
It’s when you suddenly find a new enemy it gets hard
Or if you get trash upgrades..
Like I said, I hated it at first, but once I get past a certain threshold, it becomes a good game to return to.
Like exploding brain
When i wanna relax i just play some gungeon
ohhhhhhhhhhhh
okay
see, I don't really wanna get through to that threshold if the game doesn't hook me
I actually didn’t realize until some weeks ago in this very channel that Isaac might be considered gory
oh yeah, if you dislike the graphics then it's understandable.
It’s just pixels to me
I dunno I've never thought about it and it might be because I'm looking for things to hate here
I love the art style, but the “blood & gore” just registers as red pixels
so just take that one with a grain of salt it might be my monkey brain acting up again
yup, life is too short to get into the "just wait it gets good" games, play what you like.
i happened to love Isaac, and now tempted to get Repentance.
ikr, I will put it on wishlist and see when it comes out. i wish it gets bigger so it becomes a meme.
question is, do you take blind items?
Don’t get me wrong - I hated Isaac when I first saw it cuz the only thing I noticed was all the poop enemies & such (classmates were playing) & it was just not for me
But then I folded & tried it & fell in love lol
Yes
brave dude
Yall really making fun of religion
How do you think I get the stupid exploding brains!?!
anyone played rogue legacy 2? does that get better?
also
I think Gungeon would be better if there was some kind of little aiming thing to help you out
kinda like how Hades has a little line to let you know where your Cast will shoot
half the time it feels like I'm not hitting the guys at all 'cause I suck at aiming
although swapping to M&K mitigates this issue
loved 1 but the learning curve on 2.. maybe I'm just old and decrepit now
Theres an item for that
there is?
ikr, can't believe some people.
Not sure what its called
His name is Bob. Respect it.
well then at that point I have to play the game a hyuck of a lot to get what would make the game better
and I can't invest that kind of time
especially since I still have trouble getting past the first boss
It was a waste
I think I should invest more time into Gungeon it's just hard
What platform do u play on
PC
:( huh
I prefer guppy
Steam to be specific
Controller?
I go back and forth but I'm trying to main M&K rn
m&k?
mouse and keyboard
Mouse & keyboard
oh
I think u can make it so that theres a dot/cross where the bullets gonna go
on Controller?
Yes
I'm doing that with M&K
I'll look for that in the options
Sure
Gungeon is a more difficult roguelike then Isaac >.>
It’s somewhat fun tho
yeah the highlight of Gungeon is undoubtedly the humor
you don't get as op in gungeon as often as you do in isaac
I just have to get used to guns more - not a fan XD
If I get over that I’ll prolly enjoy gungeon more
bosses have damage caps and all.
you got ||a bullet that shoots guns, a lowercase r that shoots the word BULLET, you got a SQUIRT GUN||
I got it cuz everyone’s been talking about it being a good game
I mean with rainbow runs u can
with what
Sorry didnt mean to spoil
oh it's cool
How do i make the black bar appear
👍👍

when the spoiler rule was still in effect.
pyre is usually littered with spoiler tags
ah
Also, time is progressing faster then expected in The Longing - I almost regret making my cave look so pretty now
It’s already been over a month in the game
I wanted it to be 400 days
huh, so it's now 400 irl days
Next time I guess
what a scam, you should ask for refund.
Turns out some things make time pass faster
And there’s 1 area that stops the countdown entirely
is this a realistic game?
time travelling
:kekw:
There’s no time travel as such, just time speeding up
It only moves 1 way
And the reason the 1 area stops time is cuz it’s basically “heaven or purgatory”
It’s just endless
Endless white area
It’s an idle game

oh heck yeah dude Spiritfarer is awesome
I’m just cruising around
Making food & coal
Fishing
But I’m sad cuz my snek friend wants to leave now
I want to keep hugging & booping the snek

I want my exams to be over so i can play games in peace

in other news my friend asked me to play l4d tonight so he has an excuse not to watch a show with his gf lmao

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is sure a game.
Indeed
It’s just what I imagined it to be (and a little bit more) - a little fun game with cute artstyle

I honestly can't tell if this is a normal Pyre conversation or a super secret CIA file

The Noid, Domino’s annoying pizza-destroying mascot from the ‘80s, is coming back to stop self-driving pizza delivery cars, and also to fight Crash Bandicoot. That’s not a sentence you expected to read, and I didn’t expect to write it, but here we are. Welcome to whatever version of reality this is.
but why
Desperate times call for desperate measure
They probably see KFC's marketing and be like
"We should do that, but without the dating game"
Would you date crash bandicoot
I'd grab a drink with crash
Ghostrunner is such a cool game
sort of reminds of hades with the constant dying and frustration
it is
Phantomsprinter
Ghostrunner is like Celeste, but even more Masochist
idk about you

Who's excited for the Monster Hunter direct in an hour
oh no!
15mins!
https://www.twitch.tv/monsterhunter this bgm got me hyped ngl
the monhun direct was
interesting
apex isnt locked in rampage anymore, biggest one for me
i don't really like that
apexes are just reskinned deviants
and i'm sick to the teeth of deviants
like maybe if we got apexes that are actually new i'd be more partial to them
but as it is, the idea of fighting dreadking with rise rath's cruel new attacks fills me with the most dread i've felt in a long time
I mean I’m excited for it
New monsters are new monsters
Charm tables are hopefully fixed
And fighting an apex in a more closed environment will be a lot of fun
Also layered crafting 👀
it just, doesn't feel like anything new to me
kush and teo are just reoccuring thorns in my side at this point, the new apex fights are just deviants but named after something different, and layered gear is great but capcom where my layered weapons
i at least wanted returning monsters to be fun ones. now instead i'm gonna have to invest in neg blastblight and neg wind pressure... again.
😔
however, the news for stories 2 is phenomonal. i'm delighted we're getting gammoth, i'm delighted we're seeing even more returning characters (please make references to the stories 1 protag, plea se), i'm delighted that i can team up with the local haughty elf and his tiny dragon shulk
Well here's the thing, from what they revealed, you can fight older apex monsters which are rathian, arzuros and mizu. Which means, at least how I think of it, apex rath, blos are rampage exclusive until next update
Also glasses layered armor
As uh.. person that likes uh.. the looks of it, I'll buy it
Well, guys
Small victory

The Village demo seemed weird pacing wise
Either you play a 'fake' scenario or you play the very very end of the plot on the village.
Although seems weird given Ethan dialogue makes it seem he just arrived and he hasn't fought Walter White yet
Is it just me or crafting on RPGs, kinda sucks?
It’s like just a pointless layer that if you remove, wouldn’t change much of the game
Mostly yeah they can be a hindrance rather than well put system.
This will probably sound like a rant but, really, the resource gathering is really proving to be quite cumbersome tbh. Making thing is fine, but gathering the resources isn’t though
some crafting systems are good, but most of them are just there because a producer somewhere insisted that the devs should add one because every other game does
Especially when these resources are spread across like 10-20min from eachother
Minecraft influence?
I get Minecraft though, Minecraft is about individuality and creativity, crafting is basically a no-brainer I guess. Never played Minecraft myself but YouTube is a thing
could be but mostly why they are there is to pad out some time between the other gameplay parts.
I understand that, it’s to prevent monotonous gameplay experience, I get that. But then, when you want to craft stuffs, it’s a monotonous experience off of itself
You run around between places, gather some materials, then go to a forge
Yeah nah the crafting systems can be more or so out of place in how they integrate into gameplay.
What I don’t like about how some games do it is that it’s more running than doing things
I think one of the games that has such great sin is Dragon Age Inquisition. There are a lot of side stuff to do, but they are mostly related for you to find resources in specific places, which is very tedious action.
Doesn’t the game has somewhat of a cult following? Like, heard it was good
Dragon Age Series is a game series indeed. It's strange honestly thinking about it. It had 3 entries so far and they are all different each time how they go about the combat system or the speech in the dialogue or level design. I say Dragon Age: Origins is quite great, first entry in the series, it can be quite the long journey but the way it starts, how story goes and how the whole systems are managed it's pretty neat. Dragon Age 2. This one is like uh well it got interesting ideas and stories to tell, but it's copy pasted environment of about 6 locations and the way they changed how dialogue is handled and well how the stuff is presented may put off people, but it's alright, just the lowest. Dragon Age Inquisition is a game for sure too, it has open world sort of thing going on, which then it suffers from: the whole raftign system, gathering, side objectives that don't matter much except levelling up and upgrading stuff, doesn't go much into stuff except side missions Like the story is interesting and the environment looks neat, so is the combat neat, but it is a slog to play.
So in short you must be really into the series to even imagine trying to slog through stuff. It's strange how the series has three entries yet it doesn't really have a set vision in mind? Like the real time tactical combat presents in each title, but even that is like never the same.
You gotta hand it to BioWare.
You gotta have some self confidence to call the first game of your new IP 'Origins'
The first time I heard about the franchise I assumed that was the prequel and Dragon Age 1 was another game
Yeah they quite had it. Though they sure dropped the ball on quality afterwards in specific aspects and then the whole other stuff. I am honestly unsure how I still should feel about Dragon Age 4
Like is there possible hope it will be good or just to expect things be the more sad way and it being meh or worse?
I wish Solas looked different.
As I said once before I can't take seriously a main villain who looks like a lightbulb.
The
tries to be menacing. But yeah I think what also adds to it is the fact how Solas is like one of the rare types of elves that are bald? like I think there aren't many bald elves in the settings.
Ghost of Tsushima or Yakuza remastered collection? Both are on sale i cant decide
as much as I like Spoopy Tale of a Sushiplace, I don't recommend it
story is pretty good and well done
everything else is meh
at one time I was so bored with the game I switched the language back and forth
mostly depends what's your preference honestly
Yakuza is a beat em up game I think?
with tons of silly side stuff and serious stuff there and there
Yakuza
I don’t have a pc, but if anyone wants Alien Isolation, and uses the epic games store, the game is completely free via this link (it’s normally $30+)
Markiplier received a sponsorship from epic games, and so this promo was made...

Day 1 of advertising this game here, very fun, I make YouTube videos on it, some would say it's a better version of Inflation RPG, and now I take my leave xd
quick, someone remind me how long stadia has been out
this is like... bare minimum oh my god
yes thats the part worth ridiculing
the fact stadia has been out for.. over a year? and they're only just adding a search bar is just. laughable.
that's something that should have been in their storefront from the beginning
what really gets me is people that want steam to have competition but then steam's "competition" is like. you know. these storefronts lacking absolutely basic features one would expect from an online storefront, and then people go and applaud them later on for finally adding the bare minimum
its just sad
I dont think stadias meant to be a competitor for steam, its more like they hoping to thrive as the go-to platform for cloud gaming (which already exists and most of them is usable with steam anyways) and failing miserably
its not, no, but point still stands about the bare minimum
we've had this talk countless times about epic and beaten the horse well into the ground but yet it still boggles me when someone launches some new sort of gaming storefront and its just. incomplete in even the most basic features
steam has had over 15 years to get to where it is, for better or for worse (because there have certainly been some.. atrocious decisions with the store along the way lol) but online storefronts opening up in the past years dont have that excuse.
there's just no reason for anyone selling games in any format to be lacking such basic things like a cart or a search bar
theres zero excuse for it
I think I agree on principle, but the number of times I've needed to use a cart when buying a game has been very few and far between, if ever.
But I don't go sales binging, either.
i tend to use it more often when theres a large sale, sometimes i'll hold onto things in cart if i'm still deciding on a purchase. just because you personally dont utilize it much doesnt mean its not a basic function to have
I did say I agreed on principle.
My experience talking to other people agrees that it's largely only useful in specific circumstances like a sale.
Again, anecdotal.
even so, the sales come around and its not there so what good is it lol
i sidetracked quite a bit into a general rant though, im still just. baffled stadia is only just now getting a search bar, ultimately
and of course people are in their mentions praising the move and its just like. sure i guess? but why are we praising them for the bare minimum, have more respect for yourself as a consumer
I thought that "chef kiss" could have been sarcastic, but that's only because I'm thinking along the same lines as you.
Stadia being as botched as it is, not really surprised by this is the slightest
knowing yong's content, its definitely sarcastic
Don't worry, this means that Stadia is already ahead of PS Now for PC lmao
You literally have to search for games by scrolling to it.
2021 and we cant have search bars, gaming!
No, that was 2020, in 2021 we can have search bars.
Gamers™️ don't need to search things
gamers (derogatory)
As opposed to gaymers (the best kind of gamer
)
get your gay on
oh yeah games are rolling out pride stuff soonish, on that note lol
which i only know about bc of loltwt cracking down on the ridiculous citrine and whatever other colour icons were coming out, and comparing smite and valorant having actual pride flags/icons
Smite and valorant doing something neat by having actual pride flags, nice :3
Seems like lolwt is scared of colours
nah it was legitimate criticism on how riot was refusing to label anything directly as pride
Ahh so riot being bad... again
obsidian for nb, rose quartz for trans and so on, i dont remember all the colours
but its not the first year theyve done it
sad gray for acccceeeeeeeeeeeeee
buuut theyre also doing this for this year so
https://twitter.com/MonstrousYi/status/1387114900393185281
I wonder if riot will explicitly add LBGTQIA+ characters in game at some point ever
wouldnt hold my breath on it since tencent has a majority share of the company as far as i recall lol
though leona and diana is the closest theyve come, and not just with this icon
it was hinted with the battle queens event some months back as well
so who knows
maybe one day they'll surprise us ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Ahh so nothing explicit, got it.
yeah not holding my breath
its not really something you can expect from any major player in the industry, and what little we get we have to fight tooth and nail for as it is
It's unfortunately true, doesn't make me any less saddened by it though
honks my own clown nose
But thankfully there is more representation happening even if it's mostly in the indie space
indies have always been a way to see content we could never have in the triple a space lol bless
imagine being one of those people that only plays major game releases and looks down on indies 🤧
There's some sprinkling of good rep in triple A games
Borderlands 3 for example
I honestly don't get that argument
like, a video game's a video game
you would think that but ive seen these people often enough lol
they were out in droves during game awards and some other fairly big award periods
just another part of the internet salt supply
Yeah the crowd of "my favourite big triple A game didn't win x award, y indie game didn't deserve it (without knowing anything about said indie)"
ah, that's the uncensored version
oh crap lmao]
looking at the one in the bottom right
most discussed =/= good
All i see in this image is truck loads of salt
these peeps over here complaining about Hades getting all the awards
but when the GotYs were livestreamed everyone was complaining about TLoU Pt2 getting all the awards

these people act like big babies their precious industry darling didnt win all the awards ever
even though it did in the GotYs
that's one of the first things you learn about awards or stuff related to voting - people love complaining about whoever wins
doesn't matter who or what - if they win, they must be complained about

also the irony of accusing an indie gaming rigging an award over a AAA game lmao
Just TLOU2 fans tbh, Doom got robbed and even I was surprised when Hades won Best Action multiple times over Doom.
But people don't rage like they do when TLOU2 lost.
ye, that reminds me of when BTS was accused of sajaegi back when they won their first awards..
their company was just about broke so how on earth were they supposed to have the funds to do chart manipulation??
sajaegi is like company buying albums to manipulate sales charts & such
why would you accuse an indie dev/company of essentially doing that to an awards show?

some people confuse me
I confuse myself
People get super defensive over awards for reasons i will never understand
It's not like the award will change your mind on if you like the game or anything
all it comes down to is wanting to be reaffirmed that their opinion is the "correct" one, so their fav game not winning is inherently an attack to them (regardless of the fact that it actually is not). its just silly, if you love x game so much then go play it
I was half expecting a "if you love x game so much then go and marry it" 😂
the way some of these people act youd think they are in a committed relationship with a game lol
that would be the best response to these people though
I wonder how botched itll be if they remaking tlou story in the remake
Fight'N Rage is a pretty fun beat em up
This is my first time ever trying the genre and I enjoyed it
You havent played SoR4?
not yet, I wanted something easy and cheap because I have no idea how to play fighting games
f'nr made me want to invest in a good arcade stick box though
maybe one day when im rich financially stable.
Street of rage is pretty easy dw, and they even give assists options if u lose
nice. ill keep that in mind.
Outer Wilds fans, looks like some DLC ('Echoes Of The Eye') unexpectedly popped up in Steam records: https://t.co/rd7P8TPp0W

👀
Bruh, I swear My heart skipped a neat when I read Outer Wilds and DLC together
I cannot possibly imagine what that entails
But I trust them to do whatever it is right
I'll guess more planets
Lul
why is that?
Copypasting from reddit
-Tonsof bugs including missing or placeholder GFX for some of the new features including some new missions or the sikhism religion panel,
-Extremely poorly designed features, featuring 'concentrate development' that allows you to get 7k+ development in your capital easily(50 used to be kind of the maximum you'd ever go for)
-They didn't deliver on the promises they made after the poor launch of Emperor, the previous DLC, including how they were going to fix the AI and a ton of other bugs.. of which they did nothing
-Horrible balance decisions, featuring new monuments that grant you +15% admin efficiency, or one that gives you +10% discipline
-They released it knowing it was unfinished, the gamefiles are even filled with TODOs on unfinished things
oof. paradox usually has a good track record, too
though they sell dlcs, not games, looking at you ck, eu, and stellaris
In fact EU4 and Imperator have much worse track record that Stellaris and CK
didn't know that, I only played stellaris
Chameleos fight is fun
Though, I almost feel bad killing this googly eyed majestic creature
the only thing you should feel when shooting a gun is the recoil
how my friend talks to me after a year of me procrastinating playing it
i stand by chammy being the best elder dragon in the series purely because he's (relatively) harmless, funky, and adorable. dunno how the rise fight is, but in the older games he wasn't even really hostile towards you
the one with the fun hard-to-anticipate shock attacks and the wonderful guaranteed-para breath attack and who looks beautiful when you start breaking parts
once in gu i fought white fatalis and it proceeded to roar 3 times in a row straight, and my only thought was "oh it's doing a khezu"

I found my switch lite!
it was hiding at my parents home all along!
must've slipped out of my bag while I was packing during one of my last visits there
Ok. Time for doing bets.
Returnal: Smash hit or Flop?
Question: would any of you say early Paper Marios are overrated
are we gonna ignore the fact that doom eternal basically ripped off halo infinite naming scheme and halo and masterchief will always be better than doomslayer guy and doometernal
Maybe the first one? If anything, I'd say at least one is underrated (I have a soft spot for Super)
people focus too much on Thousand Year Door, but otherwise nah, they are pretty good, but also people have to let go of other games not being the same as earlier entries.
They are still pretty neat games imo
100% orange juice is under 2 bucks rn 👀
yeah they are honestly bunch of good stuff on sale rn due to it being Golden Week! Though none are under my radar, still good stuff.
I only played through the SNES RPG myself which is why I'm asking but I did watch all of SPM and I think it had some pretty awesome writing in places which is what matters most at the end of the day :)
Hit, not smash, but hit.
The original paper Mario had the advantage of having an art style that has aged like fine wine
The writing is generally what people say has remained strong across the whole series, even into the entries where the gameplay felt kind of lacking
Little Nightmares for 4 euros
Hard reccomend
God REVIII has felt for me 10 days away for weeks now
Village looks fantastic and I'm glad they're pulling stuff from 4
All indicates the structure won't be as straightforward tho. Like Ethan will go and come from the castle and the Village
We'll see if they break the Resident Evil pattern, I'd be surprised but glad
I'm just inferring for the demo
