Undertale's flaw is that it expects the player to do the right thing from the get go to get whole true experience of it and complete picture of it, meaning a misstep (a kill) is very likely to ruin your experience of fully playing through it, since you now need to do a fresh start from the get go without doing the same mistake. And that's expected turn of events, since well for true experience you kind of have to go blind. And then kind of how whole system tried to be in your face about it. That's what I am trying to get at. Nothing much, just a speculation.

as someone who played through it multiple times I can def say while yes you can replay it, there is kind of a problem you don't do anything new much except a few different details. That shouldn't really be the case where you need to spend more than few hours again on it. Think if there was an option to make up for these mistakes in the same file, like how you achieve pacifist after doing first neutral run without kills (except asgore) then yeah think it would be way better.

I am calling them mistakes really since you may not know in your first blind playthrough that caused your ability to get to straight to the end of the plot, to reach the finale. That's where the flaw comes in, if you didn't get the meaning the game is going for since you played it blindly, expecting a misstep wouldn't do much, you just kind of end up without a way to get full experience right away unless you do another playthrough and do the things game expected you, but wont' tell you till the very end.

I missed the Automata discussion, but it's very important to note that 2B ||serves as the core motivation for both A2 and 9S through even ending E. Her death serves to push 9S off the edge and A2 very literally taking up her sword (and memories) push her to the point of stopping 9S (or, in the case of ending D, you hesitate to deliver the killing blow, which lets 9S kill you before he falls on his own sword).||
All three characters are arguably central to Automata's plot, it's just that the bulk of time spent with 2B is in the earliest portions of the game, so it's easy to feel like she becomes less important as it focuses more on A2 and 9S.
